I have come to this location many times for my craft needs & have always felt like I was being watched over my shoulder by the staff. The manager in particular would always stare but she would see that I paid for my items every. single. time. I am not a thief by any means. I came to this location this morning to get some yarn & ribbons & noticed that when I returned home I had accidentally picked up the wrong size cord. I also had a few items I had been meaning to return when I went back so I brought those with me. I had thrown out my receipt by accident for the other items but since I was only doing an exchange I didn’t think that would be too big of an issue. I get there & almost instantly felt followed. Went to the yarn isle & and employee followed me standing near me. I go up front to exchange the items I brought in & also to pay for the extras I picked up. Instantly there is a problem. They ask me to swipe my card five times! “We don’t see this cord on here”… I tried to tell her that I come here all the time sometimes using my card other times using my partners card or even cash. I stood there for ten minutes just trying to do an exchange & pay for my extras & after the fifth time of swiping my card I was told to give them my phone number & drivers license number…I’m like wtf are you writing a book!? I felt like they were making me out to be a thief. When I need my supplies I will just go to the...
Read moreI've witnessed what appears to be a manager be so rude to an employee. The employee needed help with a return(for the person in front of me) and it required a number(or something) from the manager. She came over and quickly did whatever it is she did and went right back to her conversation with another employee. The employee doing the return still needed assistance and had to call her back over. The manager had an attitude the entire time. Return is finally being done and then the manager interrupts said return to ask where a pricing gun is. Employee states she had already put it back but may have left it at the other register. The manager said something to the affect of "well it's not there."
I really should have interjected, because excuse me ma'am, but this employee is waiting on customers. Either help her do her job or keep your attitude to yourself. It is extremely unprofessional to behave this way in front of customers.
The "manager" was a skinny, probably middle aged, blonde woman.
Employee on the register was Diane (according to my receipt).
I'll be back, as there aren't many options in town. If I witness her attitude again, I'll be sticking up for the employee. Maybe then her manager can be involved and it can stop. This is not the first time I've witnessed an attitude from this same "manager". This happened early afternoon on Tues, not today. Google just suggested I...
Read moreI LOVE LOVE LOVE Hobby Lobby. The only issue I have is the cashiers key in the product prices instead of scanning a UPC which leaves room for error and personal interpretation of pricing. E.G.: an item is on sale but the cashier doesn't key it in properly. I've overpaid many times because of this.
I'm amending my review. I sometimes go to the Hobby Lobby is Salisbury as I'm leaving the booth at Webb Road where I sell my crafts. I will never stop there again. I'll go on to High Point from now on. I thought we were past harassing people with tattoos. I'm not a shop lifter and have never stolen anything from Hobby Lobby, this or any other. If you don't look like a snobby soccer mom, don't go here! Not a friendly environment for artists who may look like...
