Ordered a weighted ham between 4 and 5 pounds online. When my partner went to pick it up they gave us a 7 pound ham and then charged us for the additional weight without informing us of any changes. After calling corporate customer service they informed us of the weighted policy but stated that it does not cover a change of that size and I should contact the store directly for a refund for the added cost. The store employees and manager were pleasant and understanding but could not issue refunds without first contacting the owner. They took my information down and I let them know I felt the issue would be resolved if I could be refunded for half of the additional cost. The store owner contacted me later that day and initially claimed it was covered under the weighted item policy and he wouldn’t not offer any refund. After informing him that I had already contacted customer service he then claimed that they had no more of the size hams I ordered to which i let him know that in speaking with the store staff they didn’t know how the mix up occurred because they had an entire fridge of the correct hams. He proceeded to offer a gift card for a quarter of the added cost. I again said that I felt a credit card refund for half the added cost would make things right and he refused. After letting him know I would be flagging the charge as fraud and opening a complaint with corporate he did finally agree to my request for the refund but I would need to come in store for them to make things right. The next morning I visited them and again the store staff was pleasant but again had to have who I believe was an office worker help me. She proceed to attempt to refund my card but not knowing how to do that she instead managed to give me a receipt saying I got a discount on an item I did not even purchase. As of this moment I have still been charged almost double for a ham I did not order. I will be opening a complaint with corporate. Unfortunately, when I ordered I used a gift card my company gave and when an unfortunate event happened, I had to call and cancel. Well, I threw the card out and was near a loss. I spoke with owner Nader about my family issues and he was more than happy to help!! He pushed the order thru and put it on hold inside the office! Now as an owner he didn't have to do anything but do a partial refund but instead he said here is MY number you call me when you are able. Unfortunately, the outcome on my family was not good. I reached out to Nader and his group and decided to do a little something and He knew exactly who I was !! What owner takes the time to get to know you and give out his ## to make sure you are taken care of??? This store did!! Go in and have this owner get to know you and your family needs!! Read moreDisappointed. Wanted to take home a ham, but none was available at noon. Ordered a sandwich, expecting a pile of spiral sliced ham and swiss on there. Instead I was given their boneless (canned it tastes like) ham, and more cheese than ham. The pictures showed a very different sandwich. No unsweetened tea made, this place feels like nobody knows how to run it. We won't be back. The one in Winston-Salem NC is much better. 😫 Maybe I need to ring up corporate.
Update: I ventured back here (3years later) because I heard there was new management, and because I had missed other opportunities along my trip. I was pleasantly surprised!
