Note - never used the services because we couldn't get past the schedule situation.
Beware this place has a 15 min window to pick up your dog. So they send you a text and you have 15 mins to get animal or your are fined. Maybe that works well if all you are doing is sitting waiting - but hard for a working family. I can plan for this - but if they happened to run late or early and my schedule wasn't then perfectly timed to theirs it wouldn't work. Really a shame - I was hopeful based on the reviews. But suggest you only use this if you you can sit and be at your dogs beckon call. This inflexible policy doesn't make any sense to me. I am not suggesting to leave a dog all day - but 15 mins is a difficult ask. Sorry I can't support a local biz.
Edited to respond - Honestly that just isn't true.. I was kind and nice and was trying to understand. I let both employees speak. Did I ask LOTS of questions? Yes I did - and maybe that was overwhelming to your team and sorry about that! No one ever said anything about flexibility or grace. All that was said was text us and we will see what we can do - not exactly confidence building. Don't make me out to be difficult. I was appropriate to your staff and never once rude. I didn't want to place EITHER of us in a circumstance that wasn't doable. I asked to speak to the owner as I felt there wasn't great communication and hoped to clarify. I do feel it is fair to let people know this is your policy. I was told I had to be there in 15 mins of the text - never once was 45 mins or 30 mins shared from either staffer - if it was I wouldn't have wrote this. 45 mins is of course a normal doable situation and totally get that - I was trying to be pragmatic on what i can/ cant do. Seems maybe an opportunity to listen and how that message delivery could be improved - i get you have limited space and I don't want a dog in a kennel longer than ...
Read moreI took my cat here to get groomed before her trip to Europe and we had such a great experience. The communication was great- I brought her in before the groom to get a consult and they assured me they wouldn't shave her entire body just to get the mats out and would ask me before they did anything that we didn't agree to beforehand. We agreed on a happy medium which would clear up Rosie's mats and avoid her looking like a lion. I also had to change my appointment time and it was so easy to do over the text message system. They are so conscious of bringing in the cats in the evening to avoid contact with dogs which I really appreciated even though Rosie has been around dogs.
When I brought her back for the groom everyone was so excited to see her, especially the groomer. She was done within an hour and a half which was exactly as planned and the staff told me how well she did during the appointment, even telling me that they said hi to her when she was in the low heat dryer and she meowed at them! I have taken her to other groomers who left her in the back for an hour before she was even bathed but at Pure Wag she was taken straight to the bath and I felt confident that she would be loved and cared for. She also smelled great and the groomer did a fantastic job getting out her mats and ensuring that she still looked good despite the fact that we agreed to spot shave them. They were so attentive to her and I cannot recommend this place enough for a groom...
Read moreUPDATE: based off of the owner's reply, I am going to elaborate and add, if you want to listen to your customers' experience - don't negate what they are saying. Your logic around you being Indian doesn't mean that your employee doesn't have bias, and minimizes other minority experiences, some of which you cannot speak to. To me, the response is defensive and based off of the other responses, I can see this is a pattern. The chat offer would have been nice, but I am not going to be gaslit. Mykayla is unprofessional - that's it, point blank, end of story. If you were actually interested in my experience you would inquire rather than assume, and I don't feel the conversation would be receptive based off of the reply. Best luck to your store.
The store itself is fine. Mikayla who works at the store was eyeing my friend heavily while we walked through the store. I can only wonder if it is because he is a man of color. At any rate, I do not feel comfortable returning and felt an air of disrespect. Also - there was no acknowledgment nor...
