Himitsu Teriyaki — Restaurant in Sammamish

Greedy. I purchased one pork teriyaki from here. I payed $19.54 plus a $5.00 tip so $24.54 total for a lousy meal. I will save why I mentioned the pricing for later in my review. You can guess why I mentioned the price.

To start off, The pork looked unappetizing with just a drizzle of teriyaki sauce. As I bit in to this abomination of a meal, instantly, I noticed the tasteless cardboard like texture of the pork coupled with the brick like hardness that will make even a poor starving man feel like eating absolutely nothing instead.

Above all, the most appalling aspect of this meal was the fact that I received only 5.5 pieces of cardboard pork strips. In case you were wondering, I happen to think this is a good thing because it wouldn’t squander the poor pig’s dismembered body parts that would inevitably be spit out by the unlucky consumer of his meat (me).

For the price of $19.54, I payed for 5.3 strips of cardboard and 2 small balls of white rice, each with the diameter of 2 inches. $19.54! I knew I was being ripped off when the guy gave me the white plastic thank you bag...

I'm not sure if these people are aware of the health risk: burnt plastic stick to the food will cause cancer! When you put the super hot fried food in the cheap #6 plastic box, the plastic will just melt and stick to the food! Do you think customers will enjoy consuming the melted plastic and see big burnt holes in the plastic box? I've seen this so many times and decided that I can's stand this anymore. I asked the owner to put aluminum foil under the fried food. First time she pretended that she didn't understand what aluminum foil is. The second time she said OK with reluctance but she just put a tiny paper napkin under the fried food! Putting the aluminum foil under hot food is such a common practice for all other restaurants in this area and I don't know why it is so hard for this restaurant! Been here many, many times and each time was left feeling disappointed! I keep thinking the quality of the food would improve but nope. I have chatted with friends and they feel the same way. The service is horrible. They should have someone that is at least inviting when customers are coming in. The guy up front is always watching tv. For the price, quality and vibe, I recommend going elsewhere. I also want to mention it is not necessary to tip for take out but I have many time’s and was made feeling guilty if I didn’t.
