I rated it low due to a customer service issue I mention below.

I came in for a late lunch/early dinner and was quickly seated in the bar area. I was excited for some mexican food as I have had a good experience there before. I asked what all was in the dish I was interested in and got it without guac. When it was brought out, there was still sauce on it that I hadn't been told about. Not liking such things, I tried it anyways and decided it would not sit well with me.

I told the waiter and he rather insisted that it should be good that way and couldn't understand why I would want to return it. He kept saying it should be good and also that I would have to pay for it anyways. When I tried to ask about ordering something else, he was still insistent that my current dish was fine just like it was and everyone likes it with sauce. That the restaurant would be losing out and I would or at least should still have to pay. He even suggested I just eat it anyways. At this point it seemed like he was insinuating I was trying to take advantage of them in some way.

Feeling upset and frustrated (and hungry), I decided to leave and asked for the bill. I tried to explain that this is not how you should respond to a customer and it seemed to make him change as I was then told I don't have to pay. I asked again for the bill and when he was not willing to oblige, so I paid what cash I had on hand and left (still hungry).

This is a missed opportunity in how you can better treat customers. I hope the takeaway here is that if a customer asks what's on (or in) something that this includes all the items. And if a different item is asked for, that they aren't made to feel awful for even making such a request. You should never tell a customer how they should feel, like, or not like something or feel awful for having...

This is by far one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Issaquah / Eastside areas; and coming from Arizona I HAVE been searching, and I do have high-ish standards. Endless (and free) chips and salsa start things off with a great impression. The chips are warm and the salsa tastes fresh and probably in-house. It has a distinct flavor and is certainly not your standard generic salsa found in most places. Waiter was on-top-of-it to bring refills in a timely manner. For the entree I ordered Pollo A La Crema - now, this was my favorite dish in Arizona and I have been looking for a place that made a good one. Up until now I have been horrified by what I have encountered (I'm looking at you Azteca!) This place did not disappoint. It was excellent. Coupled with generous portions of rice (it was ok) and beans (tasted fresh but standard) I was very pleased with my meal. If I had to dig and find something of a criticism, the strips of chicken were too large / connected with each other. Slightly longer on the prep work or providing something more than a butter knife would have remedied that. But I digress, that was no real issue. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Bright colors and tiles, Mexican environment wall murals and an impressive array of healthy and happy live plants. Our waiter was great; there when you needed him, gone when you didn't. No waiting for refills or the check, he was on top of it. Overall an absolutely great experience; will definitely...

Meh. Much better than chipotle or rio bravo or some chain restaurant but also not as good as it could be. As far as a local business goes, it leaves much to be desired. I only ordered takeout so I can’t speak much on the service. I paid 16.49$ for a ā€œfull plateā€ of enchiladas. What I received was a generous portion of rice and beans, chips and salsa, and 2 small enchiladas. I didn’t pay 16.49 for 2 small enchiladas and a main course of rice and beans, it seems that they are overcharging for a minimal amount of meat. Not to mention that for 16$ they should give you guacamole to go with it along with the sour cream. Taqueria la venadita in issaquah offers much more for the price, and you can get carne asada for 12$ with guac and sour cream in a larger portion with less rice and beans. I think the issue is that this place has no competition. Needs to lower prices or raise portion sizes of meat items, until then, I won’t be back. Food was not by any means bad though, but could be...

I wouldn't have given 2stars for food if unless it was really uneatable. I do see good reviews about the food here but my experience unfortunately was south side. I took a combination with chilled relleno, enchilada with black beans and rice. Black beans were super salty, enchiladas was built on potatoes. May be I am naive but past a decade in my visits I haven't seen potatoes used so much on vegetarian choice. Relleno could have been better with egg volume ratio. I also ordered a las fajitas- fresh veggies. 3/4th of the veggie platter had potatoes. Couldn't really comprehend the fact that I was eating potatoes all the way. Rice was salty too. I am sure you might have got a similar feedback, I did see a decent crowd. 1/27 7:00 pm. Food quantity and presentation was good. Ambience is denct and clean. May be staff we're already feeling the night, they were not in the best. BTW salsa and chips - fresh and superb!

Small family restaurant in a strip mall located Sammamish, WA. We really did not expect much when we walked in, the place was being run by one woman doing reception/cashier and one older gentleman a waiter for all the tables in the restaurant. Business was steady but not crazy. We went for dinner and there were at least 3 other tables occupied the whole time. Waiter was no nonsense, polite, and quick, but did not really take time with his guests. Main course was very good. I had the shrimp and crab enchilada while my wife had the shrimp and crab chimi jarocha. We enjoyed them both very much. The beans and rice on the side were good but basic. Would definitely eat here again

5:30 on a Tuesday and our party was sat in a mostly empty section of the restaurant. La Casita wasn’t very busy from the start, but after getting our drinks, our sever never returned to take our food order. We finally got up and flagged them down around 30 minutes later. I ordered fajitas. These were the first I’ve had that didn’t come sizzling to the table - They hadn’t flipped the meat/veggies from the bottom of the cast iron, so the bottom was black and burned. When I finally moved the onions around, I could see the bad charring and finally heard the ā€œsizzleā€ I was expecting. Not great.
