I saved money for years in order to remodel my kitchen. Dealing with Alamo tile and stone has been the widest part of my remodel. The installers showed up and brought in the first piece of quartz. Immediately I hear "pack it up, let's go". I rush to see what the issue was. They inform me that the piece is too short. It's over 3/4" too short. They then say they will continue to install the rest of tge pieces. They bring in a large piece were the sink goes and discover that the rounded edge is on the wrong side. Its on the side that goes against the wall. The installers say they can fix it outside so they take it back out. As they are removing the piece, they scratch one of my brand new cabinets. When I pointed it out to them, they denied it and asked if I had proof that they did it. I started calling the company and Lowe's immediately. All of which make it incredibly hard to get ahold of a live person and you consistently forwarded to a voicemail. As I'm on the phone, one installer, tells me just to use thicker backsplash tile to cover the gap. I said no, that's too big of a gap. Finally the counter top people call me, the lady on the phone tries to tell me that 1/2" gap is acceptable. I tell her absolutely not, I want a new piece and I want my cabinet face replaced. She asks for pictures and send them over within minutes. There is a counter top company nextdoor to where I work. I went over and asked them what an acceptable distance was and showed them pictures. The informed me that an acceptable gap is 1/8". It's been a week and not one person from Alamo tile and stone has called me or given me any information on cutting a new piece. Horrible customer service. This is why I hate dealing with companies who want to be paid in full before receiving a very...
Read moreThe countertop installation was ABSOLUTELY OUT OF QUESTION LOWEST QUALITY that I’ve ever expected to see a professional company like Alamo tile. First of all, they didn’t get the measurements right. Second of all, they moved the sink to make up for their false measurements which interfered with drawer opening. Lastly, because of the top two basic and reckless and incompetent mistakes, the sink function of utilizing the cutting board and other accessories don’t fit to the sink as they were intended. It’s been A WEEK since we addressed the issue and NO RESPONSE OR WHATSOEVER!!!! They are delaying our house project. Whoever is reading this review from inside of the company, you better raise this issue and contact us back IMMEDIATELY. Very disappointed at both Lowe’s who contracted Alamo Tile for our counter tops and Alamo Tile’s quality of work and HORRIBLE...
Read moreAlamo Tile and Stone has been very difficult to communicate with and ultimately delivered a sub-standard product.
This was a two-stage project with countertops and a backsplash. The countertops were mistemplated twice with little explanation, though ultimately installed well.
The backsplash took 3 months between templating and installation with zero communication from Alamo and multiple phone calls from myself after 3 months had elapsed. Ultimately the two slabs were installed backward so the seam is in the incorrect place and very visible. The install team got the very pernicious sealant on the butcher block counter top elsewhere in the kitchen which must now be sanded and refinished to remove.
I would not recommend Alamo Stone to others...
