Taco Rey Taqueria — Restaurant in San Antonio

Highly disappointed in this restaurant. I had been going here with my wife within over a year and our waitress was always nice. On 6/23/2018 I ordered my normal plate while my wife ordered hers. Sadly the tacos I had received had mold in the cheese and brought it up to waitress .Waitress was sorry but owners whom make the food told her to still charge my wife's plate and never apologized or came to fix the issue. So I got charged for my wife's plate when it should been free and a free meal on the house for our next visit. But no the owners could care less and saw them applying more cheese to others food in the kitchen. Came back home sick for half a day after eating two tacos with green mold on them. This little hole in the wall lost my business and others I recommended there because greed and not sorroeful owners could fix the problem...

We get breakfast tacos from Taco Rey EVERYDAY Moday through Saturday. The TRASH CAN BASURA TACO is the best breakfast taco on the FACE OF THE EARTH! The tortillas are made by a real toreteadora, by hand, everday. The owner/cook has preserved the "old school" recipes of each Taco to give them that rich, authentic taste. The wife is always nice and always loads the bags with plenty of Green Chile sauce. The family at Taco Rey are some of the hardest working folks in town and we are so happy the opened a while back. Sadly, a few weeks ago, someone busted the glass door down and stole the cash register. The Taco Rey crew did not miss a beat and were slinging Tacos with a busted door that day. I hope the Payasos who did it get a wart...

Decided to try this spot for some breakfast tacos. As usual I was looking for a breakfast taco special like most places have. I went with their bean and egg on corn. They have a lot of restrictions with the special, which is understandable, but at the same time there are places that are easier going. You have to order from a select few options AND whichever you pick they have to be all the same kind. A lot of places it's just one or the other. They also upcharged me for corn tortillas and didn't let me know at the time I was ordering. Despite all that the tacos were really good. The beans had a lot of flavor and the tortillas were warm...
