My husband and I recently bought a refrigerator from here, and the process of buying it went smoothly. We took advantage of a 24 month no interest deal on their credit card, and that was easy to set up.
Where our experience went south was with the instal of the fridge water line. My husband and I visited the store about three separate times before buying the fridge to shop around and talk to associates about our intended purchase. We told every single one of the associates we talked to that we DID NOT have a water line hookup installed for the fridge; there is nowhere for the water line to be hooked up to. But we told them that our half-bath sink is on the direct opposite side of the wall the fridge sits against. We asked if they had any services that could hook up a water line for us and possibly use that sink if it was convenient for them, and all of them told us they could with an installation service they could add on for $139.
Since we had multiple associates confirm this, we proceeded and bought the fridge and the installation package. When the initial people arrived with the fridge, I was told that they don't hook up water lines and they had no idea what the $139 was for. So I called the help line and after and hour-and-a-half they told me that the wrong people were sent and that they were going to send out a different team who could actually do it.
I just got off the phone with that other team who was doing a confirmation call about our service, and they said that they also don't perform that type of service. And now after two hours of calling people to figure out why we were told this was a service that could be provided when it apparently isn't, we figure out that no one can do it and we have to call a plumber if we want that done.
The whole reason we bought this specific fridge was because of the ice maker and water dispenser it has. We were very thorough in explaining our situation to everyone we spoke with, so it's not an issue of miscommunication on our parts. This has been a ridiculous situation that displays that Best Buy associates don't fully understand the services they're selling you. I'm really disappointed with this because now we have a fridge that we can't use as intended until we hire a plumber. I wouldn't recommend Best Buy unless you have everything set up exactly how it needs to be or have no other choice but to...
Read moreWhere have the days of "Customer Service" gone? Made a purchased several items, the day of delivery I was informed one of the items was severely damaged, undeliverable. I was asked if I wanted the other items to be delivered, I declined, I want the set. So I went back to the store where I made my original purchase informed my salesperson of the issue, hoping for a resolution. She only offered for me to wait until the items were returned to the warehouse at the end of the day. After giving it thought, I reluctantly decided to cancel my items. What happened next was not at all what I expected. She informed me because of a code on my order she was unable to do anything so, I asked for a Manager, they should have override authority, right?. Jason the Manager comes visibly irritated but, I proceed to tell him the issue and he responds he can't do anything about the code on the order. Now I am annoyed, you mean I can't get my money back. I told him that was unacceptable. Jason said you can call the 800 number they maybe able to help you. I said, probably not. And , Jason responded "I just told you that to appease you". Now, I am strongly annoyed! My issue was not important to him, he could care less, and was trying to brush me off with the "800" number. He had no intentions or interest in resolving my problem. He claims to a part of Management! I found Jason Rude , Unapologetic, and Unhelpful. Only because I had found my own solution which resulted in me keeping my purchase with Best Buy, I would have definitely cancelled. The Management Team can thank Jason for alienating me as a customer, and I won't return. Jason has NO working knowledge of the companies system that was evident when I asked him questions and that's SAD as a so-called member of Management. I have my doubts that he is. Jason represented himself and Best Buy POORLY! The only good I can say after calling the 800 number , because I found a solution. I spoke with Ciara who was very understanding, patient and helpful, she listened, she looked online, found the item took my order and merged my items to be delivered. She gave the Customer Service I remembered!!! You are a Rare Gem! Thank you...
Read moreSome of your employees could really use a lesson in customer service. I went to this location today to buy an Apple Watch for my birthday. I stood around the table looking at different types while the guy helped out some other customers. I wasn't even acknowledged, or given a "I'll be right with you", mind you I had been standing there for about 15 minutes. No big deal. I continued to wait as some other customers gathered around the table; they were greeted immediately by another employee. Again, no big deal. Finally, I walked over to the register where the first guy was finishing up his sale. Once he was done, he asked my boyfriend if we needed help with anything, to which he replied yes, my girlfriend was wanting to look at an Apple Watch. The guy was very short and replied "they're over there on the table". My boyfriend stated that I was actually interested in purchasing one. I said I wasn't really sure which one (meaning I needed some assistance, as I overheard him explaining the pros and cons of each to the other customers). He goes on to bluntly tell me that they're on the table - all of the different sizes and colors - then walks off. At this point, I decide to leave. Why would I want to buy something from someone who feels like they're above helping me? This is what you get paid for. Deep down, I feel that some of this poor treatment was based off of how I look - I don't go around looking like most ladies around here, flaunting their high class, expensive taste in your face. Nothing against that, it's just not me. These are just things that I have observed. If you look like you have money - people are more willing to help you. Based off of this treatment, I will not be returning. No one deserves to be so belittled and made to feel so unwelcome for simply...
