THE GORDITAS ARE NOT $2 EVEN!! OLD PICTURES ARE MISLEADING. PEOPLE AUTOMATICALLY MIGHT BE FOOLED DRIVING TO GORDITAS DOÑA TOTA NOT HAVING TIME TO DO THEIR RESEARCH Desebrada $2.69 Chicarron Salsa Verde $2.49 Quesadilla con jamon $2.29 Asado $2.49 Rojas con queso $2.29 Frijoles con Queso $2.19 Plain Quesadilla $2.29 Dulce Gordita $2.50 THOSE PRICES ARE WITHOUT TAXES No Horchatas available when I visited. So I can't say if they're good or price as I didn't buy one. The gorditas are tiny. Which doesn't even out completely with the price. If you buy 3 of these tiny gorditas, all three will be about the size of 1 you buy somewhere else for 5 TO 6 dollars. And these are closer to $7 each if you do size comparison/Value. You do need to eat several of these to get full. The beans are very liquidy. Beans in Bulk are very cheap. If their beans were not liquidy and they at least put plenty of beans then my rating would be much higher. But that is not the situation. To me it seems they are being extremely wise to reel people in but lowkey give them a bad value, being tricky. Water down beans was a big red flag. The sweet gordita was good. But overall price, size, taste, value comparison. They manage two star rating on my end. I can see how people can easily give it 5 stars. Because the food is ok tasting and they're looking at the $2 flat price which is not the case. Again, comparisons of portion/size value. And how they water down their beans greatly affects my reasoning to give them a low rating. MESSAGE TO OWNERS: BUY BEANS IN LARGE BULK. THEY ARE CHEAP COST. DON'T WATER YOUR BEANS THAT IT LOOKS LIKE BABY PASTE. DON'T SKIMP ON THE BEANS.

If you haven't had this place you must try it at least once. I was craving a gordita and found this place by luck. I thought it was going to be just another Mexican restaurant but turns out it's so much more. Dona tota is actually specifically all gorditas. I talked to one of the owners and he gave me the run down of the place and let me sample all the flavors available. Very welcoming and delicious. The concept of this place is simple. Offer fresh and specific flavors. Dona tota realized fresh actual Mexican was missing. So the original owner went to Mexico and studied all the flavors and spices. So the American chicharron that you know is different then the Mexico version. I could not for the life of me eat chicharron cooked. I've tried it several times and was never wowed by it. But the way they prepare it here makes me love it. They have so many flavors to choose from. I'm a foodie so i like knowing about places i love. Hope this helps you to try it. You won't regret it. I also posted pictures so you know what to expect. They also have dessert with the bottom made with gordita bread. Sounds weird right? But was actually pretty good. Give this place a try and you won't regret it. Price is fair about $6-$9 for 3 and a drink. They pack them and the flavors will have you coming back for mas!

I am going to imply the owner of this restaurant/franchise has never had her own mother or wife or loved one suffer from cancer, because at this place instead of having the meat stews they serve inside a stainless steel pan, and then washing the pans at the end of the day, like all other restaurant do, instead they put a super thin plastic bag liner inside the pan, and then they put the food insde the hot pan, ON TOP OF THE PLASTIC! essentially serving their customers a high potency cocktail of PFAS, BPA's and tons of other carcinogens which leeches over from the hot plastic liner into the food, they do this because without the plastic liner the pan will get dirty and as the food goes down in level inside the pan, the sauce dries on the walls of the pan and forms a crust, so with the plastic liner they no longer have to wash the pans at the expense of literally giving their customers a huge dose of carcinogens! according to the NCI right now 40.5% of all Americans Will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives, and that number is only going to grow, so shame on the owner of this gorditas doña tota restaurant for knowingly and willingly be poisoning people, SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO WASH PANS! shame on you!
