I received a gift from gamestop Approximate volume a $140. I was told I could return it at the store. When in a manager that said his name was Chris Told me I could not do it without a receipt I explained to him it was bought online and it was a gift to me for Christmas. He said no receipt no return. I said can I get installed credit. Absolutely he said do you have the receipt. Once again I explained it was a Christmas gift and I do not have the receipt. I was told at that time everybody gives presents with receipts nowadays? With a smile on his face. After a while of this craziness I asked for the store number Customer service and his name That he had already covered up with a jacket by that time. He told me his name was Chris he gave me a piece of paper with the phone number that was incorrect? After an hour of waiting online to speak to customer service in front of the store They explained to me a both statements he made to me were false. That they absolutely Let you return defective items and not make you get another of the same defective item as the manager Chris stated. They took down information and said this has been a problem in many stores And they're trying to take care of it. They said meanwhile just send it back online and we will take care of you. Chris was a young man That I felt was put in a position that made him feel powerful and able to treat people in such a way unfortunately that does not work very well for businesses and customer relations. I just wanted people to be aware of the manager that is in place now and problems...
Read moreI have to give a major shoutout to Rene at this location.
A few months ago, I visited a different GameStop to do a warranty exchange for my PSVR2 after a collision with a mini fridge left the right controller broken. That store pulled up my account and said no warranty was found—there was nothing they could do.
Fast forward to today: I decided to try again at the location where I originally purchased it. I walked in and explained the full story to Rene, even showing him my bank statement with the charge. He pulled up my account but couldn’t find the transaction—there was a gap in the purchase history that didn’t include the date I bought it.
We tried a few different options, like a trade-in, but it wouldn’t have gotten me much. I could see on Rene’s face that this wasn’t good enough. He mentioned that the “You Break, I Fix” guys might be able to help, but then asked how much time I had—he wanted to dig deeper. My day was wide open, so I told him I had all the time he needed.
Rene immediately took down the serial number for the headset, opened a binder, and got on the phone with support. After some digging, they were able to locate my transaction from the store and confirm that I did, in fact, have the warranty!
We completed the exchange, and Rene absolutely made my day—but more importantly, he made a soon-to-be 13-year-old boy thrilled that his VR2 is replaced. Thank you, Rene, for going above and beyond. I walked out of that store happier than the day I found the...
Read moreThis store is extremely horrible. Please stay away from it, employee there is extremely rude and is running a scam. They are selling new games as opened, none of their new games are sealed. Employee states GameStop has being this for over a decade. Also as others have stated, leaves for lunch but leaves the open sign on and puts a sign up stating "Out to Lunch" with no return time or such. Employee was very rude in the sense of customer service, when trying to ask questions about games, I was pretty much just blown off. I would go to another store if you are looking for a better experience, safer purchases and quality customer service. Don't get scammed out of thinking you are purchasing a new game at retail cost when its really an opened used game they are selling. Shame on GameStop for allowing someone to manage their stores like this. Be safe,...
