There are so many flaws within this apartment complex I don’t even know where to begin, but let me begin with the disappearance of my package. My package was supposed to arrive on a Friday afternoon, delivered by UPS. UPS left the package at my front door and marked my shipment as delivered around 6pm local time. However, when I came to my apartment there was no package. So of course I went to the management and had a minor verbal discussion with them about this issue, and I was frustrated because my package was a 200 dollars package and UPS should probably not left my package unattended in front of an apartment door, but it already happened so someone must’ve done something wrong, whether it was someone who actually stole my package or was it not delivered but marked as delivered by UPS by mistake, no one wants to take the blame. So I called UPS and the site I purchased my package from, both said the package was delivered to my front door without a doubt. The UPS delivery man said the package was literally placed in front of my apartment door, so what other conclusions are left? Someone in this apartment complex has my package. When I brought up the suspicion of the possibility that someone committed theft in this complex, the leasing agent just shoot me down, they told me there is no way to monitor the entire complex since they don’t have surveillance cameras, well that is a first red flag for an apartment complex, if you don’t have surveillance cameras how do u plan to escape liability issues when something life threatening actually happens?? It just baffles my mind that they actually think this is not their flaw that they can’t monitor the complex. Just hire a guard and come drive around at night? what are all those fees I paid into? Another issue I have with this complex became a warning sign when I saw an empty beer bottle inside my trash can after their valet trash has come and picked up the trash from my trash can. I do not drink beer, so I don’t have beer bottles in my trash can, so this beer bottle come from someone else. In this complex, every apartment has their own trash can lying right next to their doors, so if they wanna throw beer bottles they would have no problem throwing them inside their own trash can but not shoot basketball shots inside other people’s trash can. I discussed my concern for this and the management never responded. Just a general mass email would do, so people know in the future to discard their own trash in their own trash cans, but no actions from them at all. From the above two incidents, plus one more incident involves when I just moved in here, I heard someone trying to open my door but gave up after multiple tries. I am afraid for my own safety, I do not know if I am specifically being targeted, or it was just some pranks or another common theft. I want to discuss this with the office but they do not wish to resolve these issues nor do they show compassion or concerns. Indeed, they are only nice to you when they try to lease the apartments but once you move in, you are on your own. God knows how much I want my contract to expire so I can get myself out...
Read moreHi Alisha,
We appreciate your feedback about your living experience at Sequoia Cable Ranch. We are sorry to hear that your stay with us was not as pleasant as you had hoped for.
In order to strive for better experiences, we would like to address the issues mentioned in your recent review:
The rent you paid was the market rent for our 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment home that we offer to all prospects; if there are any specials that corporate approves, we also do offer them to the public. At Sequoia Cable Ranch, we only offer 12-24 month lease terms; we do not offer short lease terms. However, we do have an option to Buy-Out your lease contract, which entails paying a buy-out fee of the equivalent of the market rent and any concessions (specials) given to you at the time of leasing; these monies must be paid within 14 days of providing your written 60-day notice to vacate the apartment home. After a resident has vacated the apartment, our staff inspects the apartment home to determine if the apartment was left in the same condition as given prior to move-in, with the exception of minor wear and tear. At this time, it is also determined if there are any damages in the apartment home and if any repairs are needed to restore the apartment up to our standards, including the carpet, cleaning, and apartment structure. We have all of our new residents submit an inventory condition form to the office within 48 hours of moving into their new apartment describing any defects, damages, or safety or pest-related concerns in the apartment. If the form is not submitted within 48 hours to the office or any issue unmentioned within the inventory condition form, it is understood that the apartment is left in outstanding condition or that the resident is responsible for any issues unmentioned at the time of move-in. Any charges at the time of move-out are simply to pay for the cost we incurred to repair or restore the apartment back to the condition it was previously in prior to a resident’s move-in.
We are happy to hear that your experience with our staff was a positive one and do hope that this information has been most helpful to you and gives you a better understanding of the concerns you mentioned before. We’d be more than happy to provide you with any additional information needed to put your mind at ease that we here at Sequoia Cable Ranch strive to offer the best living experience possible.

Read moreI moved in originally back in May of last year. I had to tour the unit next to mine and thought at the time it was reasonable although the price was steep and the place is hardly 600 sq ft. But almost a year later as I'm moving out, I've realized that although management and maintenance are relatively decent and kind overall, it's been a hassle to live here.
The apartment wasn't cleaned prior to moving in, multiple things didn't work such as the washing machine, stove or microwave that were randomly turned off or unplugged, the front and back door locks would get stuck which I fixed myself, garbage disposal issues, clogged sinks and bathtub, bathroom door won't shut ever, etc. You pay for them to spray to prevent bugs but buying my own spray killed more and prevented this from happening more than they managed; my cat also got fleas here for the first time in his life living here. Luckily, I haven't been a victim of this but the last 6 months or so I've seen multiple cars on cinder blocks because people come in and steal tires. They've since hired security and I've even seen police on the premises.
Now since the snowstorm in which my apartment flooded, I've had to live in my apartment with unfinished work and mold. I've tried contacting them directly multiple times but no one has gotten back to me whatsoever. The most progress there was might've been when the stinky and soaking wet padding from the carpet was removed and left on my patio for a couple weeks. They allowed another company to leave their fans and dehumidifier in my room without any notice (it's still there weeks later), another company or two tore out drywall from my bedroom and laundry room along the wall and ceiling still without notice and not once have I been told to stay in a hotel (paid for it myself weeks ago when they alleged all of the work in the apartment would be done that week) nor offered other accommodations besides $100 off my rent. $100 off isn't going to do anything for going weeks without water and hassle of having my apartment flooded. I understand it could be the companies that are busy and unable to make the time to come out but this is becoming ridiculous a month later.
If anyone is military reading this, don't waste your money. Just live a little further out for more bang...
