Be very careful when paying with a credit card. We came in to support the car meet. Unfortunately, the server, ELIANA, had very little knowledge of the menu. We had questions, but she wasn't able to answer. There was also a language barrier, but we talked to her in spanish. It was a party of 8 and I was paying for the whole bill. We had issues with the drinks, both alcohol and non alcohol. She didn't refill drinks. She forgot one of our appetizers. We did order 3 different appetizers. Everyone had an entre. She forgot someone's food, again. We had ordered more shots and alcoholic drinks, and we were still waiting after 20 minutes for them. We didn't complain, but we did bring it to her attention. She claimed it was the cooks' fault. Ok, it is what it is. Ribs were overcooked and offered to bring us another plate. We agreed. The new ribs were dried and overcooked again. After she dropped off that plate, she said they might all be like that. She offered to remove it and take our plate back. No food for that person. We'll we decided to call it over and wanted to take off to enjoy the cars in the parking lot. Management did come in and apologized for the issues we have had. I let them know no worriew. It happens. Keep in mind that the restaurant was slow and not busy. I asked for the bill, and she wanted to just take my card without giving me any type of paper bill. I let her know I don't just hand my credit card. If she could please give me a paper bill. She did, and I looked it over, and it looked correct. I gave her my credit card. Left some cash at the table, and I signed. A few days later, my back office team notified me of a credit card transaction that records don't match. I looked at them, and of course, ELIANA gave herself an additional tip - fraudulently. I called and spoke to management. They claimed they would look into it. I heard back a few days later from an "area manager." Her excuse was that ELIANA has never had a complaint and is considered a long-term employee. When in reality I come to find out she's been there for about 6 months, and she has had this happen in the past. The area manager said that ELIANA thought it was that amount and that she just fixed it to be more clear. I never wrote on the receipt that would make it seem like anything as she claims. Look at the picture, and you can tell it was written over. This area manager decided to hang up on me, and before she did, she told me, "it's your word against hers." Well, I had to take it a little further, and I requested the original receipt. I have it, and it definitely wasn't my approved charges. They claimed they would refund the money. Unfortunately, I've been waiting for almost a month and nothing from them. No refund or an apology. I'm a great tipper, but a tip is definitely earned. Additionally, what she did was fraud. With all the "hiccups" and not complaining, don't screw us with these fraudulent charges, and then management makes excuses and even gets offended. I will continue to support the car meet but will never support an establishment like this. I will contact my credit card and let them handle it. American Express will have to take it from here, and I know they requested to file a...
Read moreTook the family to eat here this past weekend. It was our first time, and didn't know what to expect. We had been wanting to try this place since they started construction, and finally made it in. Honestly, the place and atmosphere is very nice. The appetizers were great, however, I was not really satisfied with the main courses or the drinks from the bar. I ordered the 14 oz ribeye, and it had no taste at all. It didn't even taste seasoned. I had to add A1 sauce to get past the taste of the grill. I did not complain about the food, as I had already spoken to the manager regarding the bar drinks we ordered. The micheladas were very weak and watered down. My wife's frozen margaritas, tasted like ice with sweet and sour mix... could not taste any alcohol in the margaritas. Javier Medina, the manager on duty that night, came to our table and apologized after hearing our complaints. He informed me that their corporate office only allowed the bartenders to make drinks a certain way, using certain ingredients only. He did offer to replace the drinks, but we went ahead and kept them. He also offered to make me a michelada, his way, whenever I was ready for my next drink. He made it , and it was amazing. Unfortunately, the other bartenders have to follow a specific recipe. We eventually got our dinner plates served, and unfortunately, the food didn't have much taste either. My 14 year old son didn't even eat his chicken Alfredo. The wife and I decided not to complain, as the manager had already done a great job of smoothing over the issue with the drinks. We did not want to seem like those families that go out to eat, and complain after they eat, to try and get it for free. So we left it alone, and had great conversation with Javier. The service was great, but the food and drinks could use a little bit of a kick. We ended up spending over 200.00 for 4 of us, but we did have three different appetizers and a couple of drinks each. There are so many appetizers it's hard to choose , so we sampled 3 of them and they were very good. Javier made it a point to check on us periodically, and also went above and beyond, by following us out the front door, to shake my hand one last time, before we left for the evening. I'm hoping the experience we had with the food was just a one off, but Javier did earn my business, and at least the benefit of the doubt, to try one more time. I would like to be clear that I am giving a 5 star rating for the service provided by our waitress, and Javi, of course. Sorry i cant remember the waitresses name, but she was petite with straight and dark dyed red hair. The food and drinks could use immediate improvement though. Thanks again Javi, for your professionalism, and...
Read moreBombshells151 in San Antonio offers a lively and inviting atmosphere, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors alike. The food is consistently good, with several standout dishes that are worth trying. I highly recommend the Officer's Club Sandwich, a hearty and satisfying option, along with the Combo Ribs paired with Cheddar sausage. For steak lovers, Ike's Ribeye is a must-try, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. When it comes to sides, the broccoli is a solid choice, but I suggest requesting a ramekin of queso cheese to elevate the dish.
While the food quality is generally impressive, there are a few minor areas for improvement. For instance, if you opt for the tacos, I recommend asking for the ghost pepper sauce on the side. While the sauce adds a nice kick, it can easily overpower the dish if too much is used. If you're ordering chips and queso, consider adding beef to the queso for a more robust flavor. However, the salsa that accompanies the dish can taste a bit flat; a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lime juice can do wonders to enhance its flavor.
The service at Bombshells151 is consistently excellent, with a few servers standing out for their attentiveness and professionalism. For the lunch or early shift, GiGi and Leslie C are exceptional, always ensuring a pleasant dining experience. During the late shift, Amber, Karina, and Kayla M are my go-to servers, providing top-notch service with a smile.
The management team has recently seen some changes, and the new front-of-house managers are a welcome addition. Irene, Justine, and Nacho are particularly noteworthy for their professionalism and willingness to accommodate guests' needs, which contributes to the overall positive experience.
One area that could use improvement is security. It’s concerning that security staff seem to be present only during the night, and even then, they appear to focus primarily on the entryway. I believe that equipping the security team with radios would help them cover both inside and outside the restaurant more effectively. Additionally, there have been instances of vehicle break-ins, particularly targeting Fords, which I have unfortunately experienced firsthand. As a precaution, I recommend not leaving valuables in your vehicle when visiting.
Overall, Bombshells151 is a good spot to dine, with the potential to be excellent. The food is enjoyable, the service is outstanding, and the management team is commendable. However, addressing the security concerns would greatly enhance the overall experience and provide peace of mind...
