Stater Bros. Markets — Local services in San Clemente

Shout out to Jesse P for helping me get a bottle of bourbon. I am from out of the area and visited this grocery store on a whim. The shelf was empty of what I was looking for so I asked if there was anything in the back. Jesse said he would put in an order and let me know if it came in or not.

The next day I get a call from Jesse saying it had arrived and he would hold it for me since I was the first one to ask. I showed up that day to pick it up. I really appreciate his integrity and follow through. If I lived in or was new to the area, this single experience would have won over my entire grocery shopping business.

Also a shoutout to the older lady with blonde hair that was working the register in the evening both days that I came in (25-26 November). She was very nice and it all started with her since she told me Jesse is the one to talk to. Very pleasant experience both days

I totally enjoy going to Stater Bros. It's the only place I shop! I'm visiting in San Clementeu for a couple weeks, and wondered if the people were as friendly and helpful as this store,as the one I normally shop at in Hemet, CA. They were awesome! I find most of Stater Bros. items are priced better than stores like Ralph's. Now they will deliver your food for you! Just call and give them your grocery list, and sit back and wait for the delivery. I especially like this because I some times grab things I shouldn't eat if I go myself. I have always been impressed with the cleanliness of their stores, wherever I am. Not to mention their kindness, helpfulness and asking if I need help out to my car. They like to ask if I need ice or stamps all the time in Hemet. I like that they are...

Been going to this Stater Bro's for years, can be a great place but every year around Christmas they seem to get a group of new people... like temporary help, which some of them are, let say..."inmate like". In the butcher or meat department there is a new guy with tattoos all up and down his forearms and a deep scar in his chin. He is never helpful or polite. Just stairs at customers and puts meat on the counter when you ask for it. Does not respond to questions, does not speak to the customers, just the other employees, seems friendly to co-workers but not to customers,... very unwelcoming. Not sure why this level of hostility is allowed toward customers... or what his deal is... Not good for business... Good luck...
