I’ve been a nail and lash extension client of Hello Birdie since it opened in 2015. Cindy, the owner, does a great job in hiring her team. These ladies are absolute artists! I’m currently apart of the lash club, I pay a flat rate monthly to upkeep my lashes with a twice a month appointment. This helps immensely with my procrastination, I’ve been guilty of that the past with my lashes. I most recently have gone to Kadeeja and Aileen and highly recommend them both. They are both very thorough and I don’t have any poking or irritation between appointments. They also offer adhesive for sensitive skin. The lash room is very comfortable and they offer blankets if you want to cozy up, sometimes I have conversation, other times I listen to a podcast with headphones. This is a special place to get your nails done, everyone is an artist. Get nail art while your there and let them know if it’s something that takes some time so they book enough time for your art. I will usually book with Ashley Janson but have been very happy with all the gals. A big concern when it comes to nail salons is catching any fungus, right?! Any fear of “nail shop uncleanliness” is over when you come here because they use autoclave to sterilize their equipment. So any concern there is wiped clean. There’s some feedback about the price being on the higher end, yes that’s where I’m putting my money, on cleanliness and artistry. I want to mention I’m a hairstylist next door at The Lab A Salon, being in the industry gives me opportunity to know many salons and artists, I’m familiar with the “behind the scenes” in a salon and I’m very confident choosing to be client at Hello Birdie. They are doing...
Read moreI recently purchased premium lash extensions at Hello Birdie. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was clean and nice. Erin was gentle and did a thorough job. The experience was comfortable.
The day after receiving the lashes, my eyes swelled, turned red, and exhibited extreme reaction, including small bumps on my eyes and lids. I called Hello Birdie and left a message. They called back the next morning after opening and set up a time two days later when they could perform complimentary removal. They also apologized and provided a full refund.
The lash removal (which happened today) lasted about fifteen minutes. Erin also performed this. She was friendly, thorough, and made the process comfortable and easy. She's seems very good at her job.
The only reasons for the lower rating are that I wasn't warned of the possible reactions, the sensitive adhesive was not used even though I indicated having sensitive eyes, and the response was not immediate for removing the lashes. You can't remove the adhesive yourself and my eyes were red, patchy from missing lashes, tearing, and extremely painful. I obviously also couldn't wear any eye makeup. It was hard to function for the days that I had the lashes, and the pain was constant, even through the night.
Hello Birdie seems like a nice establishment, but would caution anyone with sensitive eyes. This was an extremely painful procedure. I have a formal gala tomorrow night and am hopeful that my eyes heal to the point that they're not red/ swollen/ bumpy, and that I can return to...
Read moreIf you have allergies, please do not use Hello Birdie Services. I told multiple employees I was highly allergic to latex and they all said it will be fine! I got eyelash extensions on a Thursday and couldn't open my eyes on Saturday. Spoke with the owner after I had them and she had to call the manufacturers to make sure there wasn't any latex. She said she would send me a list of ingredients, which after five minutes of researching I found one of the ingredients is in latex. After going to urgent care to get steroids, being in extreme discomfort, and missing days of work I would have hoped they could have offered more than I'm sorry we couldn't have known. I truly hate to complain, but if I mentioned this multiple times why wouldn't they have tried a patch test or given me literally any information? Makes me think maybe the money is worth more than the...
