First interaction: fiance went to get her ring cleaned. The older lady there was very nice and insisted it was a free service and she could come back whenever she wanted.

Second interaction: fiance went to get ring cleaned again (thought it was free service), lady did it but was rude as could be about charging for it next time and insisted it was never free.

Third interaction: went to ask for a ring sizing. The guy who greeted me was pretty pretentious about the whole thing... "Oh well, it costs 25 dollars if you're not gonna buy anything".. instead of, as another review here can verify, trying to possibly attract a new customer. Furthermore, I decided, whatever I'll pay the 25. Do you accept credit cards? "Not for transactions under 50 dollars.".... No sorry, no goodbye.

Dude is arrogant and not friendly. The older lady is just trying to lure customers with false claims. Go elsewhere with your business. This place is terrible.

I went here hoping to have my finger sized for a ring and also verify the size of a ring I had ordered online from a different jeweler. I understand that this transaction wasn't directly going to bring business to this store, but helping me out with these simple things might have encouraged me to keep my neighborhood jewelry store in mind the next time I needed a repair or new purchase.

However, I was told that it would cost $25 just to size my finger! I knew I could get sized for free at any reasonable other jeweler, so I just walked right out of there. Sure enough, the next small shop I went to helped me out no problem, and I already intend to return to that other shop for my next repair/cleaning. I'd rather do business with a jeweler that actually seems interested in developing a relationship instead of making...

I can't say enough wonderful things about House of Jewels! From the moment I walked in, I was treated like family. The owners, who run the shop together, were incredibly kind and compassionate.
