Rick B. I’ve been a client of Secil’s for over 8 years, doing an hour session in her studio every week. I started doing Pilates 17 years ago. She’s not only a superb trainer, she is a healer. She’s healed a rotator cuff injury I’d had since my late teens from a water skiing accident. A year of directed exercises completely healed the injury, allowing me full range of motion I hadn’t had for over 60 years. Two years later, a wrong move dancing gave me a very painful knee injury. An orthopedic surgeon recommended arthroscopy to remove bone chips from under the patella. I asked him if it would completely cure the problem and he said, “No, when I take something out of one side of the knee, the other side will be bad in a year.” I cancelled the surgery and had Secil start working on it. Secil is a magnificent teacher/trainer. She seems to know my limits and will push me just hard enough not to be overwhelming yet not too easy. She knows my body anatomy, flexibility, and and strength and tailers my workouts accordingly. She is very knowledgeable and has a bright personality. I have been with her for about 3 years. My core, posture, and awareness have all been improved because of her skills. ...
