I came here two days in a row and each time ordered a sandwich and a smoothie. The food and drink were really good, nice and fresh, tasty, the whole nine yards. The service, on the other hand, was below expectations.
Right on the counter they have these cards with QR codes advertising that you can order online and they even have a promo to try it for the first time.
So the first time I came, I tried it. Placed the online order for immediate pickup and figured it should take about 20 minutes so I walked around and came back 20 minutes later only to find out that they didn't even notice my order. They started making it right then and 10 minutes later it was ready. The manager apologized and gave me an extra booster shot for free. So far so good. Humans make mistakes, manager does his best to rectify it so no issue.
Fast forward to the next day and I try again with the online ordering, only this time I order 20 minutes before getting there and the same thing happens again. When I arrive it turns out they haven't even started making it yet. When I calmly ask why an order from 25 minutes ago goes unnoticed, the young server matter of factly explains that sometimes it goes off the screen and it goes unnoticed. But she looked at me as if she thought I was the entitled one by expecting my order to be ready. No apology, except at the very end when it was finally ready 10 minutes later, and even that was obviously insincere. To top it off, the online ordering asks for a tip before the service is performed. I gave a tip but that service certainly didn't deserve one. The young lady on the phone asked when and where I bought it ( in the store but looked at their online menu before ordering that clearly states turkey bacon included). She then argued that “our customers know it’s an add on $”, it’s on the menu in the store and they had brought it up to the manager but there’s nothing they can do for me. I understand my boyfriend and me got there 10 min before closing and the employees were tired but besides the cashier being rude and giving me a thumbs up for a yes o no question I asked, the crazy for berries smoothie she made for me didn’t have flavor, it was just ice, I don’t think she put all the ingredients on it because it didn’t taste like berries at all.
