If you looking for a gym that will not respect you as a customer, you've got a hit! I've been a loyal Orangetheory member for over a year, recently I've been getting sent to work in various cities which makes it difficult for me to come in. Other than the fact that I'll be charged a wooing 12$ one time fee if you borrow their heat rate monitor, you will also be charged a fee if you don't cancel in their 12 hr time frame, you'll be charged ( that I can somewhat understand). In this location, if u don't book at least two weeks in advance, you can forget about a morning workout. The gym it's self is decent size but it's not cleaned properly. Every time you get on the floor ull see it the dirt on your leggings. Anyway, I called a few days after my recent charge asking them to honor the fact that I will not be able to attend since my work schedule is unpredictable and I keep getting late cancellation fees. They told me that since I missed the charge date I will need to wait until the end of my next billing cycle, basically paying $400, without even being able to utilize the classes, again, due to the fact that I can't!!! No kind of even the smallest sympathy or appreciation towards the last year that I was a loyal member. Pretty desperate for the money I guess. Will definitely dispute this charge. No way to treat a member that can no longer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrangetheory fitness UTC location has changed my mind about OTF classes in general. I can row, run on treadmill and do floor exercises on my own-what would I need them for? The answer starts with an amazingly supportive and invigorating environment, that makes a really tough and challenging workout a lot more fun and inspiring. You pay for the program, the coaching environment to get your best workout possible, the support system that provides such an awesome community-That's what you are paying for, and that is invaluable.
Good fitness programs will provide you results and accountability. Great ones will bring you into a community that gives you the former, plus so much more. OTF UTC is filled with great people, doing great things, and I always feel great going into that space and even better leaving....no matter how hard walking down stairs may be afterwards š.
Cheers to the entire team for being so enthusiastic and caring. You all are uplifting beyond words, and put out a great product everyday every time. Thanks for making it feel like more than just a business relationship and making us each and all feel important and loved. You guys do a great job and it's important to remind you that you're impacting lives positively in ways far beyond what you might even recognize. Keep up the great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I began attending OTF classes in 2020 after my deployment. While deployed I suffered an injury (not combat related) which hindered my ability to walk, let alone run. By the time I got back to California, running was still difficult, but I needed to get back into running shape to keep my career going. Enter OTF UTC.
The staff is beyond friendly, the coaches were consistent in holding me accountable and challenging myself, and the pandemic did not hinder their ability to function as a welcoming studio. I thought (ignorantly) that I knew everything Iād ever need to know about fitness and improving myself. Iām happy to say I was wrong.
I happily attended classes for just under 2 years at UTC with a consistent staff and great membership. Iād encourage anyone to attend classes with UTC. If I still lived in the San Diego area, Iād keep attending. Alas my career has moved me 150 miles from the nearest OTF.
If you wish to improve yourself, I highly encourage you to attend classes at OTF UTC. Special shout-out to Fidel and Chiara, two coaches who knew how to challenge me every class. I canāt thank you...
