Iām saddened to give this spot a bad review as I frequented it as a favorite, conveniently by home. We ordered the chicken tikka to go and asked for it mild as our son canāt handle spicy. It was very spicy. We didnāt eat it and I called the next day to let them know. An Indian woman said it was not a problem and asked if I had thrown it away. I said no and she asked to bring it in and she would replace it with a mild. I found it strange that she would ask to bring it back. We decided to dine in and brought it back per her request and ordered an lamb as well. She immediately said our chicken tikka was not spicy. I was puzzled and-a bit offended how she could know and asked her to try it if she didnāt believe me. She responded that she didnāt eat meat. Ok? She said she would bring out both dishes together. The lamb was excellent but we noticed the chicken tikka was watered down and a lot lighter in color. I noticed one of the pieces of chicken was bitten and realized she heated it back up and must have added something to make it mild. This is disgusting and unsanitary. If the health department realizes this they will be shut down. Again, itās unfortunate s as everyone else has always been nice and respectful every time weāve gone. Is it really worth being this cheap in a neighbor like UTC? One of their bathrooms was also out of service so I took my son to the only one working and there were no sanitary napkins, toilet paper, and there was a bunch of supplies stacked everywhere. I will make the extra drive from now on to take my business elsewhere. Itās too bad because the food hereās usually really good. It only takes one bad customer experience to kill...
Read moreThere are so many choices of cuisines in this area that we wanted to try something different. This is located in the corner of a strip mall with ample parking. The menu is very varied. A lot of it looks like northern Indian however there are variations. They have a nice selection of Asian beers. There is no problem getting a vegan or vegetarian meal and many of the entrées can be made vegan or vegetarian. Of the four of us two of us had a delicious curry dish with vegetables, paneer cheese, tofu, and a coconut based creamy curry. With the jasmine rice, it was delicious. Another person had tandoori shrimp, but unlike other Indian tandoori that we have had they were not red and not obviously from the tandoori oven. Fourth person also a vegan had tofu and spinach.
The entrĆ©es are generally in the $15-$20 range. The dumplings were on the menu as āmomoā (Nepalese dumplings) but not sure if they were as momo are usually spherical and these looked more like gyoza. They were delicious however.
Dinner for four, 1 appetizer with tip $117. Would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy boyfriend and I just had dinner here. Iāve been to another location of this same restaurant, the one off university. There were issues parking there it was almost impossible to find parking no matter if itās a weekday or weekend, here it was really mellow and itās a Saturday night. Mason was our server he was fantastic. Excellent service! Our favorite dish was the chicken momos definitely worth trying and good portion to share between two while you wait for your food. The garlic cilantro naan was also delicious. We also got the veggie samosas and split the chicken makhani. I definitely recommend those as well. Everything came out quickly and it was pretty busy. Lastly Mason recommended we try the plain lassi drink. It was very unique, we had never had something like that before but we loved it and said weād come back just for that! All in...
