San Carlos Fitness — Local services in San Diego

I actually like this gym, but had an uncomfortable interaction with a staff member. I asked if we could change one of the news channels to something else. She asked why and I explained that I see one news station represented here and would rather have things on tv that are not controversial. By appealing to one side, they are alienating other customers.

She responded in quite a challenging tone “so you think it’s ok to have CNN on but not Fox”. I said back that “no, all of this stuff is garbage and making people hate each other. Would love to come to the gym and get away from all the junk and would rather see none of it”

It felt like a reasonable request but it ended up being pretty uncomfortable and now I am not certain I will renew my...

Run away from this place! It is a rip off/scam.

If you still want to try this place, my advise is to only pay month to month and DO NOT sign anything. That will limit the amount of money they can rip off.

For those that think being able to workout here without a huge crowd at what should be peak hours...think again. That's just a sign that you may show up one day for a workout and find them closed for business...or changing their name so they can pocket your money.

It’s an outside gym on the patio right across from Keils. One of the only gym open and I think they did a great job at putting key machines outside. You are allowed to go inside and grab some thing as long as you put it bauhck. It is a nice facility and if I lived in this area I would stay. The staff are really friendly and seem to be from the East Coast or at least they have an East Coast accent. The set up is easy there’s no agreement $40 onto month work out.
