EXCELLENT coffee with a very classy and relaxed environment. I have tried most of the coffees on their menu and several pastries, all of which I've really loved. I especially recommend the Simple Special coffee, which has fresh mint and is absolutely heavenly!
The Simple Coffee House is owned by a family who is so, so friendly and hospitable. They told me that they worked very hard to be able to open their coffee shop, and their passion for it truly shows. I was so pleasantly surprised when they remembered my name and asked how my sister was doing, since last time I was there I had mentioned that I was buying some coffee for her. Definitely the best customer service I've ever experienced. Without a doubt I feel that their high-quality coffee and pastries along with their warm, family presence are valuable additions to our neighborhood. Even though they've only recently opened, I already know that their business is going to thrive.
Other aspects that I really like are that they have free Wi-Fi, sugar-free coffee syrup, and a stamp card system (if you buy 10 coffees, you get...
Read moreWe decided to stop by The Simple Coffee House for a quick coffee and a bite to eat. There werenât too many people, but most of the tables were taken â a clear sign that this place is popular, as reflected in its high rating and strong reviews. The service was reasonably fast. I wouldnât say the staff were especially friendly â they did their job well, but without much warmth. Honestly, I would have appreciated a bit more kindness and a welcoming attitude. As for the food, I canât recall the name of the item we ordered, but itâs the one with salmon shown in the photo. It tasted fairly good â not amazing, but fine. The matcha was just okay. The coffee also wasnât bad, but I didnât really enjoy it â it had a noticeable bitterness, which made me think it might have been prepared incorrectly or made with beans that didnât quite suit my taste. Overall, the atmosphere was nice. Nothing unpleasant, but nothing truly memorable either. Itâs a decent place to grab a coffee and a snack. I would recommend it, but personally, the coffee and especially the level of service left me...
Read moreLocated in the shopping center on Jackson and Navajo, this coffee shop is by far my favorite in SD. Very lovely place, with reasonably fast wifi, 2 restrooms, small foods (fruits, bread, desserts), simple drink menu, and spaced out seating (~40 open seats). Thanks to my friend, who was noodling around on google to find a new coffee shop to study at, we stumbled upon this hidden gem. Walking in, we were awed with their decor and the wholesome atmosphere. We saw a vinyl record of Bohemian Rhapsody and the barista immediately offered to put it on their little record player at the counter where we ordered our drinks. With their simple menu, we ordered some green tea and chai tea latte and were delighted by the drinks. I later ordered their cappuccino and fell in love with the foamy espresso. Our drinks were made with such care and sincerity it's like you're drinking elixir of life. Every time I walk in I am greeted with such warmth, as though we were family. ; they can count on me being a regular! I wish they'd open later cause I can spend a whole day here...
