My experience was as follows I gave this place a second chance and they again failed the only reason for the one star is that the manager / owner in the front did my daughter's Nails who her nails are very difficult she did them very good as for my pedicure it was not only rest and I added extras on it afterwards I noticed that my toenail on the right was crooked so the owner came and put the top coat and seemed reluctant to correct the problem however she did see it after I mentioned this of course the chitter chat of another language began. I will leave this place needs professionalism I think it's very rude for them to carry on in there language loudly where are the customers can't relax I think it's very rude but I try to push through it because it's close to my home. Yesterday's event I know clearly was about money. I called and made an appointment and gave my name and yet still I was left at the pedicure bowl awaiting a full set which never transpired. Even after the owner / manager check the book and questioned me regarding the appointment even though when I got there I even told her that it is too full sets and a pedicure yet and still a Caucasian woman came in and got service right away no question I'm not sure what's going on here but you best believe we will not go back this is not the way things should be. I only wish that I could call state board and let them see what's really going on since I am licensed to. So if you try this place and you are a woman of color a man of color or someone who just doesn't fit the bill of money money money please put your review on here places like this needs to...

I recently went in to get my acrylics removed and had a very unpleasant experience.

I went in right after they opened, and they only had one customer and one technician. I stepped out to get cash and came back to three technicians and two new customers.

I was directed to table and the technician asked what color for manicure and I said just clear polish, I just want to give my nails a break. She proceeded to remove my acrylics as usual. A new customer, think she is a regular, walked in asking for a pedi and specifically the technician who was working on my nails.

The technician quickly trimmed and filed the polish off, then proceeded to soak my whole nail beds in a bowl of acetone. She then took her mobile station to take care of the new customer for her pedicure.

I was left soaking my nails and tips of my fingers for over twenty minutes. Another technician came over to finish the removal. She did, however it fast and rough. She asked again what gel color, this is the third time I had to reiterate no gel, just reg mani and clear polish.

The end and final result is awful and my hands, not just nails, came out worse than what I walked in with. I felt like an unwanted customer because I wasn't paying for the highest price services and just handed off from technician to technician.

My nail shape ranges from round to square, majority of the beds are rough and uneven, and I was left with dried flakey acrylic on my fingertips and skin.

Will never go again or recommend this establishment to anyone.

I took pictures right when I got home and I did remove the glittery (which I did not...

What a crappy way to run a business. I went to Sandy Nails on El Cajon Blvd with a gift certificate. I asked for a manicure and pedicure, both basic. The pedicure turned out great. My gift certificate didn’t cover both services so I paid the difference INCLUDING TIP before she did my manicure. They got busy as she started my manicure and she rushed through it. It looked horrible, streaky and globby, so I asked her to take it off. I didn’t have time to stay for her to do it all over again because I have a new baby at home-this was my first self care move after having my baby. So she said that to come back another time. I had a hard time explaining to her that it’s hard for me to get out bc of my baby. So she told me to ā€œrequest a refund on Venmoā€ so I did and I left. Later when someone reached out to me about my Venmo request, they said they don’t give refunds and asked for a picture of the manicure- of course I didn’t have one bc I asked her to remove it right away. She only agreed to a partial refund which I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED. Are they that hard up for money that they can’t just refund $30 for a manicure that I didn’t even walk out of their business with? I have been going there for years and each time I have been more and more disappointed because they rush through their services. I will be encouraging all my friends and family to go elsewhere. I’m super disappointed and mad that I threw away money at...

Genuinely sorry to say that this was perhaps the sloppiest manicure I’ve ever had. Two stars purely because the woman who did my nails was kind, even though she very much rushed and did a poor job overall. After my nails were done she walked away to let them dry and I had to ask her to return to remove the excess polish on the skin around my nails. It was at this point that she finally put her glasses on after having had them off the whole time she did my manicure(???). Let the record show that these photos are how my nails look *after* asking her to fix them. The edges of my nails are rough and sharp after being poorly filed. The polish is uneven and not filled in around the sides of several nails. There are obvious uneven layers of top coat that can be seen near my cuticles. There’s polish on my cuticles and beyond. It was just a poor job all around. I want to say this is a fine place to go when you need last minute walk-in availability as I did, but in truth you’d just be wasting your time and your money. (I came in as a walk-in at 4pm on a Monday, so it was neither horrifically busy, nor the end of day when they’re trying to close. I tipped 30% before the polish even went on. I said please and thank you throughout and was as kind as possible when I asked for my nails to be fixed. This was still the end result.)
