This past week I went to Sees to pick up a box of candy for a client as I often have in the past. A See's employee was inside the store and opened the door a small amount to ask me what my called in order was for. I told her I had no called in order, that I had stopped by to pick up a box of candy and wanted to come in to see what I wanted. She told me to call her on my phone to place an order and that she could not take my order in person (even though I was standing right outside talking to her through the small door opening!). I didn't know what I wanted and could not go into the store to look so seeing a display through the window I chose a box of candy and called it in on my cell phone to the employee on the other side of the door. Then when I tried to pay with cash she wouldn't take it; only cards. I had to hold my credit card against the window for same employee inside to take the number and she had to look up 5 times to take the number off of the card. Boy - talk about excessive safety procedures! This is really too much. We all know to wear safety masks, keep hands clean and social distance and there is no reason that we should not be allowed into the Sees to pick up a prepackaged box of candy if they don't want us around the open candies behind the already existing partitions. But having to call in an order when a drop in customer is right outside -...
Read moreMy family has a tradition of getting See's candy since before I was born. For special occasions throughout the year. Well I haven't been in a while and wanted to continue with my family. Splurged on a box of custom mix chocolate for Valentines day and I'm extremely disappointed. Of course we didn't stand there and check (never had to before) but they got over half the order wrong!! They randomly replaced half of the nut chocolates with Carmel with different nuts, and replaced an entire type of chocolate with something I've never had and very far from what I wanted. Getting the wrong samples seemed silly (told they were one thing and when got to our car we discovered not so much), should've been a warning the people who work there don't know up from down. What's scary is they didn't ask about allergies before and they used to....and gave us nut products after saying they were buttercreams. Idk if they don't separate anymore and have way lower standards. The quality of most of the chocolates is MEH too. Only two flavors (that they got right WOW) were on-point with traditional Sees quality. Sad sad sad. I feel we wasted time and money and not sure I want to deal with that again...
Read moreThis store is amazing in terms of staff, giving samples of chocolate and helping customers! My mother went in there during Christmas week an employee who took her time in suggesting what can my mom give her 15 grandchildren ; she made 15 bags of beautiful lollipops for her with a cute bow! My mom was so happy she asked for 15 more!! And not to forget the hand picked chocolate boxes my mom wanted for her adult children she took her time in helping her pick out the chocolates and beautifully wrapped each one! She even helped my mom to the car and opened the Stores door for her! You should have seen my mothers face Christmas Day giving out those beautiful bags!! My mom calls her see’s angel!
