The BLVD Bar — Restaurant in San Diego

I have come into this bar off and on for years, but I was treated with complete disregard so I am writing this review. I came in around noon on a Thursday and the very pretty blonde bar tender did not acknowledge me until I had sat waiting in front of her at the bar for 10mins. She was more focused on eating and a conversation with a sickly looking regular that was Covid coughing. When she finally took my drink order she wondered around with my 20 dollar bill and then started serving others without giving me change. I ended up getting up from the bar when another couple was greeted immediately upon entering which confirmed my suspicions that I got a specially lame treatment. I sat on a table near the main bar and notice the bar tender place a stack of money down on the bar without saying anything. The bouncers are SO unprofessional and RUDE. Me and my friends showed up tonight and we are all over 21. We walked straight in since there was nobody at the door and sat at the bar. Suddenly an extremely rude bouncer came up to us and demanded we all show him our ids, we all obliged and pulled out our ids which he RIPPED out of our hands. Our oldest friend who's 22 and has a Florida ID he SWORE was using a fake. We know for a fact she isn't but he got very aggressive and got in our faces and said his daughter lives in flordia so he knows it's a fake because it "glows". This is literally her real ID and we couldn't believe the disrespect. This happened Saturday may 11th at 11pm. He was so unprofessional and we will NEVER be coming back here. Rude and Racist Bartender Ruined Our Night

I recently had a very unpleasant experience at this bar. Despite ordering our drinks well before closing, the bartender—an older black male in his late 40s—rudely snatched our drinks away while we were still drinking. He aggressively insisted, “We close at 2 AM en punto,” clearly trying to mock my Spanish descent. His behavior was not only disrespectful but also blatantly racist.
