Mamamia Pizza Kitchen — Restaurant in San Diego

Oh my goodness, I am blown away! Why on earth haven't I heard of this place before?! The pizza, wings, and pasta are absolutely incredible. Our company ordered from Mamamia Pizza Kitchen and let me tell you, everyone was raving about the food. I was lucky enough to go pick up the order myself and when I arrived, the owner greeted me with the most infectious positive attitude. Not only did he personally deliver the entire order, but he also threw in some free salads and a ton of extra sauce just in case we needed more. What an amazing gesture! I didn't catch his name, but if he's reading this review right now, I want to say THANK YOU for making our day. I have no doubt that this restaurant will become an absolute sensation. I am already counting down the days until I can place my next order at Mamamia...

This was literally terrible.

Menu image of the spicy popcorn chicken looks NOTHING like what you get. Not even sure it's chicken. When I opened to look inside a piece, grease gushed out. And...cheese? I think there was cheese in the popcorn "chicken", too?

The pizza was wildly bland and includes an after taste. I hate to throw away food, but had to. I thought about giving it to someone outside, but I was scared they might get sick.

I agree with the other reviewer - why bother making bad food? We all keep saying the same thing. We would all appreciate not having our time and money wasted.

Sidenote: I think this is the first time I've left a real bad review. That's how compelled I felt about needing to say...

Bad customer service. Bought a pepperoni pizza for my son tried adding the extra pepperoni and accidentally tap pepperoncini. I asked the Clark to ask the kitchen if they could do something about it they no. Understand that i didn't spend 5 dollars on the pizaa it was 23 dollars with tip, i gave the pizza to another customer and walked out. I went a couple of blocks down to Giant King Pizza where I bought a 12" pepperoni pizza for 5.99 great pizza, made to order and 3 times much cheaper then mamamia kitchen. I'm in the restaurant industry and when a customer make a mistake I try to fix it for them no matter what it is, that's how you keep costumers and your business open. Unfortunately I won't be...
