Stater Bros. Markets — Local services in San Dimas

The people at this market, that is to say, the staff are the number one redeeming quality for this store. Unfortunately, though the staff are kind it does not save the day. For a line of markets that was known far and wide for their meat quality, this store is sadly lacking. Often the meat is discolored and obviously past it's prime yet still over priced! Another problem is there is a definite bad odor that hours you when opening the fridges in the dairy section. Not a good sign. I wouldn't bring any of this up if it happened a few times and was then fixed. Unfortunately these issues have been endemic to the store going back at least the last year that I've noticed. I still shop here, daily but only for convenience and rarely if ever for meat.

To reiterate the staff are WONDERFUL. I'm not sure what the root of the problem is but I highly doubt it lays with the hardworking employees. I am hoping that someone from corporate or management will read this and know it's meant kindly and in hope that these problems can be fixed.

I left my neighborhood Stater Bros Market to try out Walmart Super Center. Yup, lower prices, everything under one roof. Right around the corner where I live. That lasted for about a year. Every visit left me drained. If I was in the food section and realized I needed shampoo or my lady products, I had to go to the north forty to get it. My 85 y.o. mother said she couldn’t take it anymore. So back to Stater Bros we went. The handicap parking was extended to more spaces. The walk from one place to another was without effort. We weren’t winded. No naps afterward. We found what we needed. EVERYTHING WE NEEDED! Prices could be adjusted. But it felt good to be back. Like visiting an old friend. No kidding. No more Walmart. Thank you Stater Bros. For welcoming us with open arms. Clean store. Friendly staff....

The worst shopping experience I ever had, since they didn't accept my federal gov't issued ID saying: I have never seen this. The store manager's Mark Stinson's ignorance (lack of knowledge) has been only topped by his arrogance and letting me know that he can decide who can pay and who can't.

I spent only about $400 here today for my wedding, but I am making sure that I'll never come back here again.

Also, they rearranged my cart and the speedbump threw down a case of my beers.

Update: I went back for a second round, and the store manager refused to serve me on the reason that I am buying too much of his products.

Another reason not to come here anymore.

At the same time, they got me a case of beer for free for the fallen one.
