4/15/24 We decided to give this restaurant another chance and I think we are officially done coming back here. I think covid was their downfall. Now the service, quality and atmosphere has gone down hill. I don’t think anyone seems to care about customer service. I think they should close and put another restaurant here. We used to come 2 times a month and now we never want to come back. Carl had the turkey club. It basically looked like a sandwich you would receive in prison. There was 1 slice of turkey. Then they forgot the bacon which didn’t make it that much better. The sandwich was $12.39 and it was really worth $6.00! I had the shrimp pasta and berry pecan salad. The pasta had no flavor and then the salad was missing both berries. When I brought it back up she said they were out of berries. They substituted some apples but it would have been nice to been informed and given an option to what I wanted instead.
Management doesn’t even both to read the reviews to see how they can improve anything. Anyway, doesn’t waste your time or money coming to this restaurant. :(
We used to really enjoy coming here. Then after covid they started closing at 8:00 on a weekend which I thought interesting. The food can be good but a lot of times it’s not hot. A previous visit the food was cold so we asked them to heat it up. 15 minutes later we asked about it and they had forgotten about it. They didn’t even offer a pastry as an apology. We decided to give them another shot a year later and it was a little better. The requested items that we wanted served hot were not so we had to wait for them to hear it up. This place could be good but it’s alright. Plus the carpet is really worn and old and needs to be replaced. They don’t seem to really pay attention to...
Read moreWent to use their advertised BOGO entree only to find out after paying that they are required to deduct the lowest priced entree which was a $7.99 salad rather than one of two $11.99 pasta entrees ordered. Prior to ordering I read the entire offer and it said "nothing" about this, nor did the cashier say anything when I started the order by showing her the coupon. Upon speaking with the shift manager and explaining my position she very thoroughly explained how the coupon worked and eventually agreed that this should be included in the advertisement so consumers know how to play the game, i.e. order the 2 highest priced items on one order and place a second order for the rest. I dont fault the employees for this as it seems this is an issue that stems from corporate, and they should be ashamed as this is a terrible way for their employees to have to operate. We were comped a cup of soup to resolve the matter, which was appreciated. The second part of the visit speaks to the food ordered....they were out of linguini for the shrimp and linguini dish so had to substitute cavatappi. The dish is advertised to be prepared with shrimp, Parmesan, linguine, garlic butter, tomato, fresh parsley, lemon juice. What we recieved was a bowl of cavatappi with shrimp, but there was no trace of parsley or garlic butter, and only 6 to 8 microscopic pieces of tomato. Thus, tasteless and unappealing. The garlic bread was even worse...bread with grill marks and microwaved to beyond chewable. The Cesar salad was great...love their dressing. We like to support our local businesses so will give Corner Bakery another try with hopes of being able to leave a...
Read moreOn 4/5 I placed an order to go. I always, always get the same thing. Harvest chicken salad; no walnuts, no blue cheese, no cranberries. Instead almond slices and goat cheese. I was told that this location would no longer be offering almond slices, but had candied pecans. I said sure, that's fine and ordered 3. Today, 4/7 , I came in to order 3 more. Dana said they haven't offered pecans for quite a while. I told her I was informed they changed it on Thursday & that I was told they no longer have almond slices. But I was fine with either one. She turned around and picked up a container of almond slices. Showed me them. I said ok, that's fine. She then turned to the cook and asked if they offered pecans he said. No. I said thats fine. She then went to the back to ask and said b/c she does the inventory. Clearly, I said it was fine 3X. So thank you Danna for embarrassing me. Clearly you were determined. But, I'm not an idiot. I was told and served the pecans Thursday. I know what I was told. I know what I ate. So, I'll be going home and getting my receipt to show you in just a few. I love the food at Corner Bakery Cafe. But this particular location is absolutely HORRIBLE w/cross training, confirming information within it's own, and terrible with customer service. I have gone on their website to complain about the customer service about 2 months ago. Please management: please look into some additional training in customer...
