Harbor Freight — Local services in San Dimas

A plus at this location. I've been shopping here for a few years and service had usually been excellent.

In these uncertain times, we were looking for a generator and finally broke down and picked up the big 9000 watt version.

This past week (Aug / 2023), we just had a potential hurricane come through. We were ready and thankfully, only heavy rain ultimately occurred.

I actually had taken a break from this location, unfortunately. I was having an issue with a cashier who was unfriendly and borderline hostile. She had smart remarks and a condescending tone during my check out encounters. As such, I hadn't been to this location in almost a year. I stopped in for emergency supplies due to the possible hurricane.

Conversely, the majority of the cashiers/department workers, and especially the store manager had been professional and outstanding. They were the reasons I shopped at this store at least once a month.

In visiting in August of 2023, service was back to normal and was the typical 5 star caliber I was use to. Profesdional, friendly, and helpful. So I feel good knowing I can continue my usual visits to this location.

I encourage others to visit and take advantage of the many deals...

....well I feel when to people walk in it's kinda nice when someone says hello or hi or welcome.....or hey a nod is good. Especially when you have two people standing in the checkstand with NO customers and staring at their register 😐. The lady was older.....I feel she should have shown the younger gentleman. We won't be going back there. We as my mom and I. Walking around aimlessly looking for a shop vac. Yes we asked the lady 👉.... about 25mins later. A younger girl walks by really fast and says how's it going. There might have been a total of 6 people in the store. Anyways. Please let your front employees know to say hello and ask if we need anything. At least when they are BOTH just standing waiting fir a body to walk up to either one of their lonely registers... Just a little frustrated. It wax my 100 lth time being there and my moms...

Bought a Jackery power station at this San Dimas location. Asked about the return policy before I bought and they just said to keep the receipt to return it. I ended not needing the product anymore so I brought it back. As soon as I walked in one of the workers a lady’s yelled at me saying that I can bring that in the store. Didn’t even say it nicely. I then told her that I just wanted to return it then just yelled the same thing to me and that I have to call Jackery to return it. Called Jackery and they said since I bought it at the store I have to return it at the store. Then I called the store and the lady who answered said that they don’t do returns on Jackery products. Wish they said that when I asked before I bought it. Now I am stuck with a $300 paperweight. I am not happy with how I was treated. Please avoid this place as much...
