TAQUERIA PONCITLAN #2 — Restaurant in San Dimas

The first time I went and enjoyed my food very much but the second time, not so much. With very few customers in line, and therefore orders to get straight, I brought a friend and I didn't enjoy what I ordered and they got her order completely wrong and didn't make it right. She said the dreaded words, "it's okay", to indicate that she wasn't upset. But it wasn't okay they should've brought her the correct order. Because we try new Mexican places together all the time and now she never wants to go back to this one. She ordered a sampler plate of 3 tacos with 3 different meats, fish, chicken , and chorizo, since her first time trying the place. She got 3 fish tacos, the same, and thought the fish was just okay. She wasn't impressed enough to go back. They should've brought her her other 2 meat selections on the house. I don't know how the chef got the order so confused when it wasn't a busy time, I can't imagine when it's busy. Plus he made 2 plates that way, with 3 of same fish tacos, and they walked the second plate all around the restaurant, to the 2-3 other tables and no one else had ordered 3 fish...

Been on the prowl for a new spot for a good breakfast burrito in our new area. It's been more miss than hit with some places charging way too much. Decided to give Taqueria Poncitlan a try and OMG it was amazing and far better than our previous regular place.

I opted for the chorizo, beans, and egg burrito for $10.99 but added avocado, tomatoes, and cheese bringing it to around $14...and still cheaper than some of the $16+ price at other spots.

This thing was huge!! They gave me the green and red salsa which were both great. I would get it with pico de gallo next time instead of tomatoes. Flavor, texture, and freshness was exceptional. Plenty of seating with friendly staff with a casual setting and a TV. Finally found our go-to spot for breakfast...

Stopped by this taqueria and ordered 10 tacos — every single one hit the spot! The food came out fast and hot, with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.

The staff was friendly, efficient, and kept the place spotless. From the counter to the salsa bar, everything was clean and well-organized. Service was smooth even with a big order.
