Upon seeing that a new Greek restaurant had opened up in our area, my wife and I were excited. However, this excitement quickly subsided after our experience at Nick The Greek last night (12/8/2023). Around 1pm, my wife and I had saw that the line to receive food was insanely long - extending past Flame Broiler. Therefore, we decided to try again during dinner time. At approximately 5:30pm, we stopped by the establishment and placed our order after one customer ahead of us.
My wife had ordered the chicken plate and I had purchased a lamb gyro. After 15 minutes had passed by, my wife inquired about the status of our order, as people that purchased after us were receiving their meals. We understand that every new establishment will have its kinks to work out and occasional mistakes. With this in mind, my wife spoke to an individual (whom we though was the owner). This man was very friendly and had apologized for the delay. In compensation, this man provided my wife with a free order of Baklava - which was quite delicious. Another 5 minutes had passed and we finally received our order and drove home to enjoy the meal 5-minutes away.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed to discover that the lamb gyro was cold and the chicken plate was lukewarm at best. In contrast to the advertised pictures, the pita bread encasing the gyro itself was soggy and lacking grill marks. To our surprise, the gyro was also jam-packed with french fries - more so than the lamb meat itself (but why french fries?) This was definitely a first for us after trying many Greek establishment gyros and it was not pleasant. As for the chicken plate, the protein was very limited in quantity and severely dried out in terms of quality. Furthermore, the proteins for both main courses was sliced so thin, that it seemed as if we were eating Lays potato chips and could not taste any of the distinct meat flavor.
The side of rice was hard, crunchy, and lacking any flavor whatsoever. The side of salad was definitely clean - rinsed to perfection and lacking any sort of distinct flavor profile (e.g., dressing, vinaigrette, etc). The highlight for our entire $34.00 meal was the free Baklava surprisingly. We would be thoroughly impressed if it was homemade, but it does not seem likely given the expectation set by the other items. All in all, it does not seem likely that we will be returning...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Nick the Greek, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a professional and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The restaurant had ample seating, which was a pleasant surprise, as finding a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal can sometimes be a challenge.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show - the food! Oh my, where do I even begin? The flavors that danced on my taste buds were nothing short of extraordinary. The chicken gyro, in particular, was an absolute standout. The tender, juicy chicken, paired with the perfect blend of spices and wrapped in warm, fluffy pita bread, was a match made in heaven. It was so good that I couldn’t resist ordering another one to-go! Trust me; you won’t regret it.

Read moreWhat a phenomenal business. From the marketing (who saw this place and immediately thought of the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding??😂😂😂🙌, to the wonderful staff, shout out to Samuel👍🙏😁, and the absolute delicious food.
I visited on a late Sunday afternoon. I was immediately greeted, I was helped with the menu options, and devoured my food as soon as I got in the car.
I opted for the gyro plate because I was stopping in between work. I didn’t want to drive and eat with a gyro sandwich and thought it would be less messy if I ate it deconstructed.
The food for the value is present. I love the marketing of the establishment and it carries through from the cup to the take out to the take out bag, this is really nuanced but the attention to detail is appreciated.
The salad was perfectly seasoned and I could taste the high quality ingredients and olive oil. The vinaigrette is fairly light so you’re not overwhelmed. It goes beautifully with the gyro. I opted for fries and let me tell you- if you love in and out fries- these are 100x better in my opinion. I’m going to assume it’s because of higher quality ingredients.
Samuel is an outstanding asset to the restaurant. Super kind, patient and informative. He helped me narrow down the tough choice of what to order.
Hands down- I’ll be back. I could pay the same amount for chic fil an and feel gross after. Despite devouring my meal so quickly, I felt light, happy and full.
They also offer rewards which will come in handy over time.
I would recommend that if you can eat without moving around- that’s ideal because you may just end up shoveling the food in your mouth- it’s honestly that...
