The teachers here are quite advanced and practicing with them will challenge you and inspire your own practice. At my Saturday 10am class with Tara, we did a lot of core work at the beginning and the teacher guided us through a sequence with arm balances that linked each pose. We did quite a bit of prep work for handstands as well and I definitely felt that I could hang on a little bit longer in handstand by the end of the class. I didn’t see the teacher give any hands on adjustments in class though, and this is something that I look forward to when I go to yoga class. The studio has a nice lounge area where you check in and a few changing rooms and cubbies to store your things. Because it is located in the Mission, they close or lock the iron gates during class to make sure there are no disturbances. The studio is warmed to about 75 degrees, just enough for you break a sweat and activate your flexibility, but not so warm that you are slipping and sliding in crow pose. Pros 1.) Advanced teachers and advanced clientele which means you can grow your own practice further, if that’s what you are looking to do 2.) Studio space itself is quite convenient; it’s located near a lot of food options and has a spacious area to hang out before and after class. Cons 1.) No showers and only one bathroom; there is often a line to use the bathroom 2.) The practice studio’s floor is carpeted which I suppose is better for your joints or minor falls (but a Manduka Pro mat would be sufficient); I went to a Saturday 10am class and everything smelled fresh, but it was the first class of the day. I would imagine that it would be a bit more gross if you had to practice right after a sweaty class.

Phenomenal yoga studio. I can’t recommend it enough. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Has changed my life.

I started yoga 3 months ago for the first time and attended regularly. In my first few weeks Steve and Gary went the extra mile to help me learn the poses and the breathing. I wasn’t able to do the basic poses. My head was full of thoughts and I was distracted and uncomfortable.

In just 3 months Steve and Gary took me from 0 to doing the full Ashtanga primary series while relaxed and focused. Besides all of the poses I can now do (lotus, handstand, headstand, and a lot more), I leave each class feeling amazing. My body and mind feel dramatically better all throughout the day. This dramatic improvement would have been impossible without their dedicated guidance and effort.

I don’t think I could have asked for a better experience. The music and vibe of the place is also amazing.

Thanks so much...

this places kicks my @ss. and listen. i workout like most days i dance and climb and other stuff but like o mg TnT i feel genuinely out of shape taking rocket one. ONE. like what are they even doing in two and three i can't even imagine. but the space is l-o-v-e lovely. very well kept and clean and in a fun part of town. staff are kind and knowledgeable and everyone else in the class is sweet as well. classes are, as i mentioned, genuinely challenging but also great for people looking to get started in yoga. i took my very first class just a couple of months ago. they have plenty of equipment too so don't need to worry about bringing your own mats and stuff. they even have blankets and you know it hits different when you're laying down at the end like shavastanah mm mm mm i'm...
