I don’t typically write online reviews but I wanted to this time since I was so impressed with our last 2 takeout orders.
There are lots of great restaurants in the Bay Area. There is plenty of great authentic ethnic food as well. However, San Francisco has been missing truly authentic Lebanese restaurants. I was so happy when I trie Mezze and Mooore.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that their taboule is just like we make it at home with the appropriate ratio of parsley and tomatoes to bulgur as well as the right amount of lemon juice and olive oil. All too often, other places make tovouke that is dry and lacking flavor. You will love this taboule and it will ruin you for all others!
The hummus is fresh and tasty and comes with warm delicious pita.
The chicken shawarma wrap and plates are fantastic and come accompanied by a tangy garlic sauce just the way I was accustomed to it growing up. (I’ll have to try the salad next time).
All the appetizers we have had are excellent: their cauliflower is out of this world and all their eggplant dishes are fantastic (including the baba ghanoush which has the authentic smoky flavor that can separate amateurs from experts).
The other thing that is worth mentioning is that they are a new restaurant and clearly enjoy what they do. I’ve been greeted by the same person each time I’ve been (not sure if he is the owner) with a warm smile and a genuine appreciation for our patronage. I really enjoy supporting small local businesses like this.
I can’t wait to go back and try more items...
Read moreIf you're searching for the best Mediterranean food in San Francisco, look no further than Mezze and Mooore. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that sets the tone for a perfect dining experience. The staff here go above and beyond — attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. You feel like a welcomed guest rather than just a customer.
Now let’s talk about the food — absolutely phenomenal. Every dish is bursting with authentic Mediterranean flavor, prepared with care and served with elegance. The hummus is silky smooth, the lamb melts in your mouth, and the falafel is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside. You can tell that every ingredient is fresh and thoughtfully sourced.
Whether you're dining in for a romantic night out or picking up takeout for a cozy meal at home, Mezze and Mooore never disappoints. This place isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a celebration of Mediterranean culture and cuisine. A true gem in the heart of San Francisco.
Highly, highly recommended. You’ll be back...
Read moreThis is a overall fantastic and authentic Lebanese restaurant that we are lucky to have in SF. Trust me, places like this are truly rare, and they especially do not come at such fair prices. The quality - quantity ratio of every item, and the price that it is charged really allows you to come and experience a wide range of items.
They cover a wide range of mezze cold and hot, lots of vegetarian options, great meat dishes, and they have dessert and coffee. You really can’t ask for more.
We got the tabouli, felafel, Fattet Batinjan, Mujadara, and combo plate. I gotta say the combination of eating the fried eggplant with the Mujadara is simply unreal, and the kafta kabob here is so well seasoned.
The Turkish coffee was very good and I am very picky with my coffee. I’m excited next time to try the kunafeh too. I hundred percent would return here and give you a strong recommendation to try it. I’ve been to almost all of the middle eastern restaurants in SF, and I’m telling you this one is...
