Live in the area and always see a line around the block for the place so thought I'd check it out. Maybe I went on an off night?
Very small selection of wine & beer. I only had beer but it was genuinely bad, which is rare. The place doesn't know if it's a wine bar or dance club so it's not great at either. Too crowded and loud and not enough seating to be a wine bar. For a dance club, the music is odd, I can best describe it as slow & sad/moody retro/disco. Not really danceable, although some folks were trying. Ridiculously hot, sticky, & dank on the dance floor. No A/C or ventilation. Crowd skews younger; vibe is serious, few to no smiles, no one looked like they were having fun.
Genuinely confused as to the appeal. I get that younger folks maybe haven't yet figured out what makes a good & fun bar but even taking that into account, this is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBar Part Time is pure hype with zero delivery. For the outrageous cover they charge, youād expect a real party ā but instead, you get crammed into a tiny, overheated space with barely any room to dance. Drinks are insanely overpriced, and the sound system is so weak and tinny you can hear peopleās conversations louder than the actual music.
At one point, I spoke with someone who summed it up perfectly: "At least there are hot girls." When "good-looking people" is the only positive anyone can find, you know the place is failing.
If theyāre going to keep charging premium prices, the bare minimum would be expanding the space and investing in a sound system that doesn't sound like a busted Bluetooth speaker.
Save your time, money, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnique dance and wine spot. Thoughtfully curated with a solid rotation of DJās local and worldwide (but mainly of the Americas?). The natural wines I am not sure are better tasting or worse than regular wine as Iām not well versed in that world. But from what I had, they were floral, fresh, and tasty. The beer isnāt bad either but limited selection. Just cans from what I remember. The dance floor is cute and small, with a solid disco ball. Check out their frequently updated SoundCloud for a taste of what the djās will play. Itās geared to more vintage house-y akin to a lot of cool European hole in the walls. They...
