I moved into The Avery June 2023. I found Avery online and absolutely fell in love. I had been looking for apartments in SF (moving to the city from Canada) for over 3 months and could not find anything just right for me.
My first impression was "I am in love". Everything from the Equinox-gym, the coffee bar, the pool, the patio, the top floor, chef's kitchen, the "luxury small" and outstanding cleanliness blew me away. Claire was extremely lovely to work with — I was super happy that I met her!
Out of all the luxury perks and stunning features of the units themselves, the best part about The Avery is by far, the management and concierge team.
I felt like I had a true family. Jason, Peter, Tyanna, Colin, Claire, and Melia — I owe you all the best first year in SF! Thank you so much for the outstanding service and for making me feel truly taken care of and like I had a family.
I loved everything about the building, from the high end design, modern units, and unreal amenities. The gym was absolutely the best in the entire city (trust me... I checked out every one). It had eucalyptus towels, squat racks, stair masters, Pelotons, and so much more. It was super sick and I couldn't get enough of it!
The residents were incredibly kind and fun. I made so many friends here, which made my transition to SF so much easier. The whole vibe of the community was just awesome.
I was super super sad to leave, but even while I moved out, the entire Avery family helped me along the way. They were incredibly organized, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process, which made a potentially stressful situation so much smoother.
I looked forward to chatting with the team daily and got excited to go home after a long day of work because I always felt greeted and cared for. The entire team's friendliness and organization really stood out.
Something I also valued was their amazing package and mailroom system. I would have packages within MINUTES and groceries were held, making it very convenient. They also always have trolleys which makes moving items and carrying stuff up to your unit super easy.
The Avery is also super dog-friendly, which I loved. The area is minutes away from great dog parks, and the Ferry Building is right nearby. I absolutely loved Woodlands Market just around the corner - it was my go-to spot (my daily spot for great healthy fresh food).
Anytime I needed help with my unit, the team was extremely helpful and fast to help out. The maintenance team helped me out within HOURS if I ever needed assistance.
I was really pleased with how helpful they were when I moved out, even though I was incredibly sad to leave. The Avery truly felt like home, and I'm so grateful for the amazing 15 months I spent there.
Thanks again! I will...

———————————
Moved in June 1st when it opened, really wish to like it but my experience so far has been unpleasant and very disappointing. First of all, the concierge and supporting staff has been great, friendly and professional, 2nd star solely for them.
Now comes the headache: When I viewed the property in April, the rental agent showed me a few units that are nearly completed along with a few images of what the finished apartments should look like. I liked a particular floor plan and signed the lease (agent really pushed for the signing, emailing me very, very diligently and answering all my questions, in particular, I was promised that all amenities in the building will be fully completed by my move-in date).
When I moved in on June 1st, I discovered many decors in my unit were NOT as advertised, with inconvenient designs and many things that look cheaply put on, stark contrast with what my impression was when I visited before and the promotional pictures. I was later informed that my unit got converted (last minute) into an wheel-chair unit, hence it contains ugly shelves that does not match the interior, exposed extension wire, different toilet, microwave, etc.
Also, none of the promised amenities were open for over a month (they finally started to be partially open).
I have been communicating with the rental office since the move, spending time taking pictures and communicating the difference between what was shown to me and what was delivered. The management seemed friendly but not much has been done after many rounds. At this point I feel extremely exhausted in dealing with this and just hope I never got into this...
Be very careful when dealing with their agents, they really, really over...
Read moreWe could not recommend living here highly enough. Our time at Avery 450 has been nothing short of fantastic. All team members— from concierge, maintenance, porter/ janitorial, & management provided world class friendliness and service. Each time we set foot in or out of the building, we were greeted with genuine warmth & smiles by the lovely concierge(s) and all team members. Common areas are thoroughly maintained and scrubbed to perfection. The colossal effort each team member puts into maintaining the building & making sure residents are taken care of (through & through) is palpable. As other reviews have noted, the community atmosphere is warm, welcoming, & thriving. No request or query was ever too big or a problem. Notably, staff always followed through and resolved each & every issue that arose with diligence, professionalism, & thoroughness. We have lived in multiple high rise rentals offering similar products— but nothing or nowhere beats the experience of living at Avery 450. They truly take care of you in every way possible. We are so grateful for our time in this building & community. We wish we could shout out each & every team member; with a credit list rivaling the end of movie credits. However, for now we would like to personally thank: Marcus, Concierge team (Melia, Peter, Jason, Kashif, Jonathan, Al, Tyanna), & Porter/ Janitorial team (Ceferino, Roxana, Margarita). Thank you for all you did & for your tireless efforts. With Never Ending Gratitude & Warmth,...
