I came here for happy hour all my coworkers here last Thursday. One thing you'll notice right away when walking in is that it's LOUD. Like, SUPER LOUD. To the point that when you walk out, you're like "Oh my goodness. I can hear." SO BE PREPARED.
With regards to drinks and food? Drinks are not too shabby (so I heard. I didn't get a chance to drink anything, because I was still getting over a cold). Food? We had ourselves the deviled eggs, Mission pizza, and another ... pizza (I can't recall at the moment, and I can't seem to access the food menu on the website). Pizzas were okay - I found them a bit dry. However, the DEVILED EGGS ARE TO DIE FOR. I could've eaten a bunch of those.
Another good thing about this place is that they have games at the tables (if you're lucky enough to get them). We were playing Jenga the entire evening. I think the group next to us had "Would You Rather?"
I would have to say - everything was good here, except for the noise level. So I would give this...
Read moreWhy hello there Southside Spirit House! What a nice find! My friends and I would stumble upon this place, way before we would head across the street to Temple SF for a night out of dancing! By far, this place remains as one of my top SoMa bars in the area. Here's the rundown: wooden furnishings, knick-knack paddy whack give me a glass of alcohol, chalkboard specialty drinks, eye candy looking bartenders, and awesome music makes this place a fave of mine!
Experimental cocktails, to-die for pizza and truffle tater tots, and a round of Jenga to kill time whilst enjoying good company you have with you. Best of all, you can't pass up their Jager shot and glass of beer on the menu. Look for it! Oh, don't mind me, but they have Snake Bite beer in a bottle. Trust. It's super delish to drink alongside with a slice of pizza.
Would I come back? Hell to the eff, YES!
P.S. They offer Happy Hour here! Do try to make it out here before heading out...

The cocktails are also good, and aim for vintage inspiration with a modern flair, based often on local distilled spirits. The bartenders are no nonsense, or at least they were on our visit, although it was for an event party (rented out the whole place), and thus incredibly crowded. That may be why they seemed so harried and crisp. The grub here is just enough off-center to be highly interesting and was very good. Flatbread pizzas emerged from the kitchen continuously, with both some conventional and unconventional combinations. There are also delicious, cheese sprinkled tater tots with a crispy crunch and a perfectly tender, hot interior. This is by no means a fussy place, very casual, and recommended for...
