Worst experience we had and we travel full time for 6 months now! We paid for a night bus from San Francisco to Los Angeles. 5 min before the departure the night bus was canceled because the driver canceled. There were no other drivers who could take the drive. We had to wait until 9 am the next morning to take a bus with no solutions to sleep. The agent finally said that we could sleep in Oakland bus station because there were security there. OK. We went there at 11 pm, the bus station was dirty and really old, with a lot a people trying to sleep everywhere on the floor. This was really a shame for the price paid! Once in the bus in the morning, it leaves Oakland with some delay, half of the electric power didn't worked (we had one working for 8 places!!), free wifi is only 100 Mb, the bus was full and everyone was talking so loud. The seats and space for the feet are small. If we knew we would have taken a flixbus for cheaper! Or a rental car. Really the only good thing is the great bus station in...
Read moreA terrible experience. I paid for two bus tickets from San Francisco to San Jose. The bus was delayed by an hour and twenty minutes. In order to fulfil my travel arrangements, I needed to pay for a different service to get me to my destination on time. I contacted customer support to request a refund and was told I needed to wait 24 hours before I could submit a claim. The next morning, I contacted Greyhound again to ask for a refund. I was then told that refunds are only provided if the bus is delayed for over two hours. As such, Greyhound kept every penny. The implications of this are interesting. It means that if you need to travel an hour to an airport or train station for a connecting flight/ train, you would need to allow at least 3- 4 hours in the event the bus was cancelled if you were to rebook with another service and be eligible...
Read moreWe had confirmed tickets from Greyhound for San Francisco to Sacramento @ 1:30 pm April 4. Fortunately I checked my email at about 10:30 am that day only to discover an email from Greyhound sent 9:58 am April 4 canceling our tickets without explanation. I rushed to ticket counter for help but agent had no explanation except to tell me the earlier 6:30 am bus to Sacramento was canceled since no driver was available and she suspected the same for the 1:30 pm bus and could not guarantee if the bus going to Sacramento at 4pm or 4:30pm would be going. She said she gets no info about these problems as I showed her my email. An 11:35 am bus to Sacramento was shown as sold out as was my 1:30 pm...
