i don't know where to start. Perhaps the worst 15 minutes of my life were spent here. I had to clean my tunic and hat after a pigeon dropped a load on me. I popped into B&C laundromat looking for a quick wash, instead I entered the threshold of laundry hell. The place looked like it was last cleaned when Joe Biden was a teenager.
They had 22 washing machines and only ONE worked. There was a rather stout and unfriendly local who appeared to be an over the hill sumo wrestler who was washing load after load of laundry.
He said he would let me use the machine if i could beat him in a wrestling match. Considering I was the Tel Aviv wrestling champion in 1991, i agreed.
After 10 minutes, I managed to get his huge noggin into a headlock and he begged for mercy. In the violent struggle, the last remaining machine was broken when his 400 pound frame crashed into it.
After all that, i left with my still dirty hat and suit, forced to find another laundromat on the streets...
Read moreI've seen some gross stuff here. People clipping their toenails in the laundromat. People eating food on the tables where you fold your clothes. The washers usually smell like mold. Clothes get stolen here sometimes. One time I was standing right outside, talking on my cell, and a homeless guy went in and started digging through my clothes, throwing them all over. There's nobody staffed at this place, so nothing to deter crazy or unsanitary behavior. Washers/dryers take quarters, but there's no change machine, so stop by the bank on your way home. It's the worst laundromat I've been to. But honestly, most of this stuff is par for the course for San Francisco. On the bright side, the hours are pretty good, and it's not the most expensive laundromat I've used. The place does get cleaned at least once a day. So you know...I can think of a few ways it could be worse,...
Read moreOnly giving this place 3 stars as they don't have a machine for change, so you're obliged to bring your own change, or buy something in the bakery down the street and ask for change. Other than that, great place with a lot of washers and dryers as well so there seems to be no shortage or waiting times (although I went early in the morning so that might've influenced it too). The dryer takes a bit longer than the usual ones at laundromats so just leave it in for like 30 mins and your stuff will be ready. Very easy to get there and centrally located in Chinatown so you could grab somethi g to eat around there while you wait...
