Would NOT return! We were gifted a stay from a family member and we were excited to stay in such a central location! Unfortunately, the Wyndham SALES PITCH experience was just so awful! We had no idea we would be pressured into sitting through a presentation during our stay. We were not familiar with this hotel chain before and it felt just like a scammy timeshare. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by the “concierge” aka SALES PERSON. She was extremely friendly and seemed helpful, but it took a turn. We had just come off a long-haul international flight and just wanted to rest, but we were bombarded with information and what they could offer us. We were initially intrigued by a promised $100 gift card and 7-night free vacation, but felt it was all too good to be true! We were told that if we only sat through a “SHORT” presentation, we would get those free gifts. After initially agreeing to this, the “concierge” cornered us in our room and said in order to access these things, we had to pay a $40 HOLDING fee. That should have been my clue to RUN, but we were so jetlagged we complied. We were also implicitly told that my card wouldn’t be charged, legally in California they can’t charge for this, but low and behold I was charged so they LIED to us. After then also reviewing the little card for our “SHORT” presentation booking, the time slot options were 90 minutes and 120 minutes so that is in no way a SHORT presentation. We decided to opt out entirely as we felt so saddened to be misled and didn’t want anything to do with a company that operates in this way. We got out of the presentation and were refunded the $40 but it was just such an unpleasant experience and we just felt so awkward coming and going from the hotel every time we saw the concierge and staff. Other staff we dealt with were all friendly and I can’t fault their friendliness. I just have issues with being made to feel like all interactions weren’t genuine as there was always a sales pitch undertone. The other issue we had was we were booked into a 1 Bedroom, Top Floor Room with two bathrooms. Upon check-in, we were given a room on the 3rd floor and I initially brought up that this wasn’t the room that we booked and we were excited for a high floor room to get away from the noise and hopefully have a nice view. We were told by the reception staff that his room on the 3rd floor had a lovely view and we would be happy. Upon entering the room, our lovely view was that of a carpark across the street and only had one bathroom. Thankfully reception corrected this issue, but it was frustrating to have to move our luggage from room to room. Lastly, our room was never serviced during our 4-night stay. We weren’t told if there was anything that we needed to do to request service, but most name-brand hotels will service your room during your stay or at least explicitly advise on how you can get your room serviced if it’s not done every day. We were out of our room most mornings by 9 am and even in other hotels, if we missed the first round, they’d check in to see if they could get in later in the day. Only positives for the hotel are the location and good local restaurant recommendations, and also the cleanliness of the room upon arrival, even though our room was never serviced during our stay. All in all a really uncomfortable experience and I will not be staying at any Wyndham properties ever again, I’ll stick to my Hilton Diamond hotel experience!!!

We spent 3 days in a 1 bed/ 1 bath this last weekend. It was a good stay. Room was on the small side but since it's a refurbished historical building, it makes sense. Clean hotel but the elevator was really slow to go up and down. We were on the 2nd floor so we just used the stairs each time. *WE'RE A WORLDMARK TIMESHARE OWNER* Parking: there isn't any parking in the front of the hotel, only loading and unloading. They offered us two options, public garage and private garage. We chose the private garage that's about 2 blocks away. But it worked out great. We attended a presentation and it covered the cost of the parking and they gave us an additional $25 gift card. There is an office area, gym, and laundry room you can use. Location: very close to China Town and little Italy. Walking distance to Pier 39 from the hotel is about 30 min. There is a convenience store across the street and lots of cafes and other shops nearby. Very good location. We took the car to visit Golden Gate Bridge, Baker Beach, Lombard Street, The Pink Ladies, and Pier 39 and we only spent $30 for parking at the pier. (It was $10 dollars an hour) But all other parking was free street parking. A lot of parallel parking tho.

So we paid $6000 for this vacation club. We were told we would have pools spas full kitchens, king beds IN EVERY HOTEL. Before I start the people working were great but the room was a closet with a bathroom! Water damage to the walls and ceiling, 2 inch gaps between the bottom of the door and the floor, only one ice machine in the whole hotel. We found 3 pieces of a broken pen head in the floor that I had the honor of stepping on, we found hair in the towels, no bathtubs and only a full size bed with no options for room upgrades. The bathroom door hits you if you're on the toilet and someone opens the door as we found out. Parking is NOT included and cost $35 for 24 hours if you go to the cheap one 3 blocks up. The ground floor of the elevator is uneven with the elevator tripping me twice coming out and the lobby is full of flies. Not to mention all the noise at 9 am coming from the next room that was a service closet so employees I'm guessing. I got to say I'm not usually this upset but I could have gotten the cheapest hotel in the Bay and ended up with a bigger better room. Not worth the Worldmark plan AT ALL!

Stayed in Late Aug 2021 for 4 nights, then took a road-trip to Monterey/Carmel, and came back for 2 nights to close out the SF experience. We did a bit of driving, so we paid the San Francisco premium on parking -- Crocker Garage had great price with unlimited in-out privileges. It was a little walk from the Hotel, but it was okay. The Sutter parking across the street would have been just as expensive with no in-out. We took day trips to the Peninsula to see family.||||The first part of the stay we had 2 studio rooms, it was nice to give the young adults their own room and space. They were good size, and like any regular hotel. They also had some dishware and a minifridge if you needed. There was good closet and drawer space.||||The second part of the stay we had a 1 bedroom, 2 bath. The 2nd bath was really great for the young adults who stayed in the living-room because it felt like they had their own room, while parents stayed in the larger 1 bedroom with their own bathroom. It was enough space for everyone to have their section. It also had the kitchen sink with basics.||||The team was very hospitable and knowledgeable. They get an A+. The location was great - but be prepared to walk hills. This is very close to the Nob Hill section which has the Ritz, Intercontinental (nice hotels) that are located at the top of the hill (near the Crocker Garage). Chinatown is next door, and Union Square is down the Street. Nothing is THAT far, unless your going to Mission or Dogpatch... but you can easily catch an Uber/Lyft or take the train. The Trolley is nearby if you want to have that experience. You can take a walk through the neighborhoods to Fisherman's Wharf, but it's about a 2 mile walk... so be prepared and take some water. But if you're making it a stroll, you can stop by North Beach (Little Italy area) for a coffee or dessert before you continue walking to the Wharf. You can catch the Trolley at the Wharf and it will take you up the hill, somewhat closer to the Hotel.||||We utilized the CityPass for $72 and picked Academy of Sciences, Aquarium, Zoo, and Sunset Cruise. It was well worth the cost because it forced us to go throughout the city to different neighborhoods. We also did Alcatraz (which is a separate ticket).||||We absolutely loved our experience. We will certainly be back again and again because we've figured out how to make it work (including a giant car!). Points of Advice -- have breakfast in the room (sandwiches or something) to save on some money, and then stop for lunch and splurge on Dinner. Have a plan of the area you want to get to know so that you maximize the walking route. You don't have to pack TONS! You can do laundry at no charge, they will give you detergent and doesn't take very long. You can use the gym while you wait for the wash. You can also bring DVDs (for those with little kids) because they have a DVD player. The Pull-out couch is pretty good.||||I'm open to questions if you have any... but it was great and I love...

I will never return and don't advise people to stay here, upon arriving after a long drive the front desk guys were really pleasant and friendly. The next morning the room phone starts ringing at 8am I'm in the shower and my kids were sleep, 10 mins later the phone is ringing again, my kids wake up to answer and tell them that im in the shower, another 10 min goes by phone rings again this time he had an attitude and was irritated that I was in the shower, so I get dress to head to Starbucks and he stops me and tells me that I have to do a sale presentation, I explain to him I really don't have time I'm only there for a couple days and had plans the whole time I'm there, he then tells me I don't have a choice I have to go otherwise I'll have to pay a fined. I explained to him nobody explained this to me when booking the room, and after expressing my thoughts and very frustrated I tell him 830am is the only time I could do, which interrupted my sleep. I sat through the pushy sale pitch and explained how unhappy I am with having a time share and will not be upgrading my discovery membership. He seen how serious and irritated I was and after about 15 mins he said im free to go. The rooms are so small and I understand it's a historical location, which was nice to be close to everything but with having kids it's wasn't a good fit and there was never any room service or even an offer. For my 1st experience using the time share, it...
