Journey to Yosemite: A Thrilling 3-Day Adventure Amidst Nature's Majesty
We embarked on a delightful 3-day adventure with a Yosemite National Park tour inclusive of hotel accommodations, cherishing every moment. The hotel's prime location, nestled beside the Merced River, provided peace, convenience, and comfort. Complete with top amenities such as a Jacuzzi bathtub, a cozy fireplace in the room, and a full kitchen with a stove and microwave (perfect for my mom's cooking), the hotel was only a few miles away from Yosemite Valley. Yosemite National Park, with its majestic beauty, is a destination that belongs on everyone's bucket list. Accompanied by my parents visiting from India, we were led by Adam, our knowledgeable tour guide. With him, we delved into the wonders of Yosemite, including the awe-inspiring Yosemite Falls, one of North America's tallest waterfalls, and numerous other breathtaking highlights. Our explorations led us through the wilderness, capturing iconic sights like the towering granite formations of Half Dome and El Capitan, the Three Brothers, the misty cascade of Bridalveil Fall, and the serene beauty of Valley View. We also immersed ourselves in the rich history of the park by visiting the Indian village and museum, as well as the exploration and visitor centers. Even in April, we were enchanted by the snowy charm of Ahwahnee and Curry Village. We experienced many seasons during this trip, from rain and snowfalls to cold weather, then sun and blue skies. The Yosemite Valley has much to offer and requires multiple days to explore. The Valley Loop Trail provided us with an immersive experience of the valley's diverse landscapes and attractions. Our journey included visits to Yosemite Village, the Swinging Bridge, Tunnel View Overlook, Merced Canyon, Wildcat Falls, Cascade Falls, Hetch Hetchy Valley, and much more. On our final day, we embarked on a picturesque drive along the Merced River for miles, indulging in a delightful picnic lunch at Mariposa Old Town. Our route then led us through Merced, offering an exciting ride through farmlands, irrigation canals, and pastoral lands of the Central Valley, adorned with almond trees, peaches, pistachios, and citrus orchards. We traversed the coastal ranges, admiring green hills and mountains, while driving alongside rivers and lakes all the way through Gilroy, concluding our journey back in Silicon Valley. We were particularly grateful for the complimentary pick-up and drop-off service at our relatives' home in Fremont,...
Read moreI would like to 1st apologize for the delay in submitting this review, there was a bit of confusion, as 1 person thought the other did it, and so forth.
I would like to start by saying that The best idea we had was to book a tour with your company and being assigned Brandon as our guide.
It was a family trip to Yosemite Falls and Lake Tahoe. We were 6 in total. We were a couple with 2 young children 9 and 11, and a senior couple. Everything was exceptional. Brandon really went out of his way to make us feel heard and accommodated. The van was comfy and cool on the hot summer afternoons and had more than enough room for our snacks and things so when the temp would drop in the later afternoons.
He was very knowledgeable about the Yosemite history and all it had to offer. Brandon knew the best spots to go to, for best views We have so many amazing pictures because of it. The schedule was made to fit what we were mostly interested in. We stumbled upon a great opportunity to see a part of Yosemite from the river in a small raft and 1 point and Brandon even agreed to add this as part of our excursion to the trip. Because we had 2 smaller kids and an older couple, Brandon volunteered to help Grandpa with the rowing!! We were so grateful for all his suggestions, and advice. That ended up being 1 our favorite experiences at the end of it all. The 2 hotels were very accommodating as well and you really couldn't beat the view from the balcony with the river flowing right below you at our 1st hotel. Waking up to the sounds of the water was so peaceful. They also had a great game room and pool for the kids. Brandon even joined us for a game or 2 of ping pong which was very sweet of him to offer even after hours. The drive to Lake Tahoe may have seemed long, but it was broken up perfectly with photo, food and bathroom breaks. Lake Tahoe is such a unique and beautiful gem of a place. Beautiful and perfect weather! A must see at least once in a lifetime.
We would recommend this tour to anyone that is looking to have a good time and learn the history of Yosemite and Lake Tahoe.
So thank you Brandon and Yosemite Private Tours, for providing the space and company that made for such great memories! It was an amazing experience!
Sincerely,
The...
Read moreOur hats are off to Adam and Yosemite Private Tours! We've been on quite a number of really good trips, all over the world, but this one is at the top of the list. Susanna is retiring, and we chose Yosemite as our first destination to celebrate. Unfortunately, it was already March, and we wanted to go in May...FORTUNATELY, a quick web search turned up Yosemite Private Tours! They handled everything from picking us up at our hotel in San Francisco (whisking us to Yosemite in a brand new Grand Wagoneer), all arrangements in between, to dropping us back at our Airport hotel in San Francisco after 5 fun and exhilarating days at Yosemite. Adam was the ultimate tour guide, attentive to all our needs, known and unknown, personable, flexible, and so much more humble than warranted by his incredible depth of knowledge about all things from that region of California. It was also so admirable to see him interact with others we met in multiple languages (I count at least half a dozen...)
I had recently had some health concerns, and Adam was quietly cautious to gauge our abilities early, but also flexible enough to adapt our week when he learned we were up for some pretty rigorous adventures. We can't imagine having done or seen even a small fraction of our experiences if it hadn't been for the intimate knowledge Adam had of both major attractions and off-the-beaten-path secrets of Yosemite.
Adam's and Yosemite Private Tours' ability to meet our requests was also phenomenal. We expressed that we were hoping for a river view room at the ultra-close Yosemite View Lodge, and we were delighted that our room had a spectacular view of the river, literally about 10 feet off our back deck. Somehow Adam was also able to get us a dinner reservation at the Ahwahnee with virtually no notice, another bucket list item met!
We enjoyed our week immensely, and look forward to our next trip with Adam and Yosemite Private Tours. We hope to bring the...
