I purchased with Sightseeing Deluxe because they were cheaper. Man let me tell you: I definitely got what I paid for. When I purchased the tickets, they guy told us to wait right in front of the Aquarium, so we did. A Deluxe bus came, the driver says he's only going to the office, and stated another bus was coming. So we waited... and waited... and waited. Well, another bus did come and was the same guy! Well, we tried his bus again. Apparently, they left out a very important detail about where we are supposed to hop on. We and some other customers had to run to catch the bus, which was slightly further down and across the street-_-. Our driver ended up being Martin and tour guide was Igor. Driver checked our tickets and I asked if we were on the right bus, just to confirm. And even AFTER looking at my ticket, the guy said he didn't know!!! Should have known then, this was going to be a long ride. We started our trip at stop 6 (Pier 39). Igor tried to give history on Alcatraz, but he was given out wrong information. So, I kind of blocked a lot of his guiding out. Every now and then, I tried tune back in, but he was always talking about his personal life. Not really helpful if you're trying to learn about the city. When were crossing Golden Gate Bridge, that was the scariest moment of my life. Martin was going so fast that those of us who sat on top of the bus, were rocking really hard...I do mean rocking! Definitely thought we were going to fall off. Needless to say, at the next stop we sat on the inside of the bus and stayed there for the remainder of the tour. Unfortunately, the inside of the bus didn't make it easy for tourists to see out the window. Only half the bus had a view if you sat on the inside. When we came to stop 21, I was so happy the tour had ended. We had to switch buses. New driver and tour guide was Chris. If we had him and his bus originally, I would have rated this place 5 stars. He was an excellent tour guide because he knew his history, (for the 5 stops we had him) and his bus had clear windows on both sides! Wasted money! Unless you get Chris, I...
Read moreThey get one star only because our driver/tour guide was great, otherwise it would be zero. We were in San Francisco for one day only and bought 24 hour tickets. We purchased the tickets at 2:30 and then were told we would have to wait a half hour for a bus to arrive. We decided to just walk down to the next stop (pier 39) to have some lunch instead of wasting our time standing around and waiting. When looking at the map we were given at lunch I discovered that the buses only picked up until 5pm. We were never told when we purchased the tickets that we would only have 2.5 hours to use them. I called the number on the map to ask about it and the woman who answered was extraordinarily rude and yelled at me that it was my problem that I was only there for a day and that they cant read my mind. She told me there was one more bus we could catch and that was it for the day and that we would need to stay on it or we wouldnt be picked back up. We hurried and paid our check and got to the pickup location. The driver was great, and told us a lot about the city but the bus did not pass by a few things that were listed on their map, so we never saw the painted ladies or Lombard street and by the time the tour ended it was too dark to go see them in our car so we had to leave the city without seeing them at all. We had hoped the tour would give us an overview of the cities highlights since we only had a day, but it was thoroughly disappointing. We did see the golden gate bridge, but we could have seen so much more on our own had we just skipped it, but we didn't want to waste the $200 we spent on tickets. In the end, the tour ended at stop 1, even thought we had gotten on at stop 6, so we were essentially dropped off downtown and left on our own to figure out how to get back to our car which was miles away. We ended up paying more money for a trolley to get us back. I highly recommend that you dont use this company. There are several other tour companies in the city which I'm sure are...
Read moreI want to express my profound disappointment with a recent experience involving your company that fell far short of expectations. Before my trip, I encountered what I believe to be misleading advertising that clearly stated there would be a bus departing at 6 p.m. Based on this information, my family and I made our plans accordingly. However, I faced a frustrating and alarming discovery. I was told by the driver that the last bus is actually scheduled for 4 p.m., get off the bus, and all stops concluded well before the time I was led to believe.
The consequences of this misinformation were significant and distressing. I was stranded with my two young children in an unfamiliar area. The lack of available transportation options placed us in an incredibly precarious situation, leading to feelings of anxiety and helplessness as we searched for solutions that evening.
This experience not only reflects a troubling gap in customer service but also raises serious concerns regarding how your company communicates essential false information to its patrons. Accurate and transparent communication is vital, especially in the travel industry, where customers rely on schedules for safety and convenience. Your company must address these discrepancies to prevent future customers from facing similar predicaments. This distressing situation underscores the importance of integrity in your advertisements and operations. I urge you to take these matters seriously and consider the impact of such inaccuracies on your customers, particularly those traveling with young children, older adults, or in vulnerable situations.
Restoring trust in your services will require meaningful changes and a commitment to honesty in all communications. I sincerely hope you will take the necessary steps to improve this situation, not only for me but for all your patrons who deserve reliable information. In the end, dishonesty may yield short-term profits, but as the saying goes, karma has a way of...
