Overall: What a disappointment. For some reason this place is listed as being a really good place for seafood buffet. Location & Ambience: The restaurant is at Fisherman's Wharf with a nice 2nd story view of a small marina and the bay (large staircase and no elevator). The seating is kind of dirty and uncomfortable. Service: Non existent and no interest in providing it. Prices: Not terrible @ $30 per person for the full buffet (minus drinks). Drinks are $3 for a can of soda. There is no soda machine with on-tap drinks which was really irritating. I tried to explain to the owner that people would probably pay significantly more for soda on-tap instead of paying $3 for a soda can. It wasn't a huge deal, but the 'least-effort' theme pretty much dominated throughout the entire visit. Everything in the restaurant is set up to minimum standards. As in, "what is the least that we can supply and still get away with charging $30 per person?". Service: The service was non existent, and with that, I mean TRULY non-existent. I actually didn't leave a tip (which is very unlike me), but the reason for not leaving a tip was; from the time we sat down to the time we left, we did not see, talk to, or interact with a single employee! No server, no greeter, no one. The one single interaction we had with anyone, was some guy who distractedly walked from the back room/kitchen to the cash register upon our entry and processed the credit card payment and then walked away after he handed us our $3 soda can. I tried to engage him in conversation by suggesting that they consider getting a FREE soda machine from Pepsi or Coke (they supply the machine if the product is supplied by them) then charging a reasonable price for drinks. Hell, I would have been willing to pay $10 for drinks if it were on tap when I needed it. It isn't like I am poor or am pinching pennies, but I hate when businesses skimp on customer convenience issues for the sake of a tiny bit of profit. Cheap. Cheap. Cheap. The food: Quality was above average for a buffet, although a bit limited with selection. I was disappointed to find the only crab legs which were on offer was the Creole-seasoned type, where the salt is so crusted to the crab legs it is nearly inedible (which may be the plan to save money, offering the illusion of choice). I had come to the buffet with crab legs being my primary goal, but after cracking my first (WAY overly-salty) crab leg, I ate zero legs. There were some good shrimp dishes and I did enjoy those. Desert was just a selection of cheap pastries which were obviously straight out of the package and not a restaurant made product. Overall score 2/10. We're were very disappointed because we intentionally looked for a good seafood buffet in SF and were looking forward to a satisfying meal. We left unsatisfied. The score of 2 is because there were a few good shrimp dishes which were good, not great, but good. All other aspects of the restaurant deserves a score of 1, especially considering the $30 PP price point. I only go to the city rarely but I am certain there must be a better seafood buffet in SF. Hopefully we will find it some day. However, we will never again spend money at this restaurant. For a good seafood buffet, we would have been willing to pay $60 per person! I do not understand these businesses that believe the way to make money is to be cheap and offer the least possible for the highest price. A successful business offers customers exactly what they want and then price their offerings at a reasonable gross margin. I know this because I own a business myself. I would never do business like that, and I imagine this business will only be around for another year or two before they go under. Too bad, because there is potential with the location and 2nd story view of Fisherman's Wharf. Owners of this business- Implement changes ASAP and stop trying to cut expenses! Instead of cutting expenses, try increasing profit by offering what your customers want without skimping. You will double...
Read moreService was absolutely horrible! Walking into and leaving the lobby smelled like someone had pooped on the floor. The only nice employee was the person cleaning up our plates. Walk in and they are automatically rude. The floor was littered with trash in walkways, under tables and buffet walkways. With only 4 to 5 tables occupied within the 2 hours we were here. It feels like a sauna because they have no A.C. on a day it was over 80° outside. Several tables were left for over an hour after we arrived covered in dishes and garbage. The female hostess on multiple occasions if asking for butter, crab crackers(which should be available by silverwear) or to buy more sodas rolled her eyes and had severe attitude everytime asking for items. Hostess employees expected you to not want anything and know what to do when you walk in, as they stood around talking to each other. Which is their job. Customers were asking me if i worked there as i was gathering my food from buffet since the hosts were not helping anyone. Food was mediocre at best. The only thing fresh was crab. All items were bare minimum from 6pm when we arrived until 8pm when we left. Then they were filling an hour before closing. Food was dry, crusty, unappatizing, not fresh. Potatoes and corn were hard, not cooked fully, and not seasoned. Restroom for females was barely functional. Handicapped stall wouldn't flush. Toilet seats were broken barely hanging on. My daughter got stuck in a stall because the locks were broken and Garbage everywhere. Also, soaps and toilet paper were almost completely empty. You pay before you eat or sit so you tip before, also. I came here from Napa after reading several positive reviews. I was disgusted and beyond angry my entire meal here after paying and walking into this restaurant. Please save your sanity and take the extra time to go to the buffet in Redwood City that has much more options and 100% better food. My baby hated the very few options they had for children. The only good thing...

Alright, don’t listen to the bad reviews. There’s just way too many good things about this place for it to be rated low.
I’d say this buffet offers really fresh seafood and is the exact same quality as surrounding restaurants if not better.
I personally love their oysters, clams and Cajun shrimps/boils.
They have a variety of seafood and pretty much anything you would expect from a seafood buffet, including but not limited to:
3 varieties of fish Cajun Shrimp Standard Shrimp Octopus salad (very hard find in the city) Lobster (this is extra $$$) Clams Baked clams with cheddar cheese Crab legs Crawfish
….and so many more seafood options.
They have lots of goodies like fried chicken, nuggets, fries, onion fries.
I feel like just because they don’t have sushi people feel it isn’t worth it but I’m glad they don’t offer sushi because sushi is just fifty percent rice and this way you can focus on the foods that are actually much more nutritious for you which is nice. Honestly sushi is a scam at a buffet it fills you up before you actually try any of the good stuff.
Not to mention, you can end up really stuffing yourself so you’ll get a really good deal and feel you maximized the value of the price, which is standard pricing.
The seating is spacious and far apart, has a really cool design, has comfy sofa chairs that’ll make you feel right at home, and the vibes are immaculate. Plus you can stay as long as you want they won’t try to kick you out. Awesome right?
You definitely don’t want...
