This is wonderful neighborhood asset that we are so lucky to have in the Inner Sunset-Cole Valley area. Its products are unique and ingenious, enabling one to buy items that just cannot be found in conventional stores - products that truly make a difference for the environment. Particularly with the bulk product opportunities, the pricing is no more, and often less, than one would pay elsewhere as Simple does not need to pass on expensive packaging costs. And, of course, that means lots less plastic having to be landfilled. Simple makes it super easy to reduce single-use plastic waste in your cleaning and personal care routine, something I've been trying to do for a while. For the longest time I was stuck with online brands (which add shipping emissions) but now I have a spot to refill locally while supporting small businesses. Biodegradable toiletries, home cleaning, and pet care supplies sans packaging! I just visited this store for the first time and was excited to find: toothpaste, toilet paper, shampoo, laundry soap, hand soaps, and more with no plastic wrap or bottles. Its products are affordable priced and it's not chichi/niche marketing, more lo-fi. I got a new brand of laundry detergent sheets the owner, Abby, recommended, bar dog shampoo, mouthwash capsules in a brown bag, & a few more items. Glad for the non-boutique vibe & pricing.
