I've had two after hours emergency situations, first a Posterior Vitreous Detachment with a hemorrhage and second a detached retina. On both occasions Dr. Jiang made himself available and treated me quickly. Dr. Jiang treated me at midnight on a Sunday for the PVD. His laser work and knowledge is first rate.

When I had the retina detachment it was early on a holiday weekend and there were no surgical slots available. He was able to work with the hospital make room for me and completed a vitrectomy and retinal detachment repair. He personally walked me across the street to the hospital (his office is adjacent to San Gabriel Hospital) and got me checked in so I didn't have to wait in the emergency waiting room and during COVID that's a big deal.

His surgical skills are superior and what separates him from the rest is his communication and availability. He is very responsive by phone, text and email which is such a blessing when you're going through recovery. I've never have a medical professional be so available and understanding of my needs as a patient.

Many times retinal care is an emergency situation and you end up having to make a quick decision about care, especially with a detachment. I've told my family to put Dr. Jiang's number in their phones in case of emergency.
