Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in San Gabriel

Damn, and I love Papa J's :( This spot is the worst though, going to Dominoes like a block away.

1st time we ordered a Pizza for pickup on our way back from the air port. Ended up having the order completely wrong. When we brought it up the kid that looked at it gave us a glare and walked to the back. The manager (i assume) was decent enough, offered to remake the pizza, but it would take 10-15 minutes. Not really wanting to wait we settled for pineapple instead of pepperoni. Meh, not horrible but still a let down.

Tonight i was bothered enough by this to actually create this yelp account.

I went online and set up my order, but google said that they were closed! Being my stubborn self, I called to see if they were still open. The guy said they were and they were taking orders for 10 more minutes! I thanked him and told him I would place my order online, he said okay. Apparently since it was listed as closed, the site won't allow you to place an order.

I tried to call back, the same guy asked to put me on hold. Was on hold for about 8 mins (okay maybe they're getting rushed) then the guy picks up apologizes for the wait and puts me back on hold. Waited another 5 mins. Tried to call back, no answer. Really lame! Stubbornly tried to call back like 9 times (I know I'm nuts) only to be forwarded to their recorded message, hung up on, and at the end just ignored.

I put in my Dominoes order while I was doing this. I just wanted to guy's name at this point to complain. Prick, I'd prefer you just lied and told me you were closed! I set it up and everything!

This Papa John's Pizza location is the closest one to me so this is my go to pizza store when we order pizza. Typically I go to the store to pick it up since it's down the street from me. Sign up for their mailing lists they typically have promotions whenever a sports team wins or they achieve a certain goal there's a discount that you can use.

parking: The parking lot is decently sized but usually there are a good amount of cars in there. I always manage to find parking somehow.

Ask for their seasoning that comes in the green packets. They add more of a kick to your food. I believe they charge for chili flakes now too so keep...

Horrible Service right here.. I put an order to pick up @3pm I arrived exactly @3pm the cashier said my order was coming up. I watched 4 customers come in and received there order. I asked what was the delay with my order he couldn’t give me an answer so I asked to speak to a manager and he asked for my name and gave me my order. I asked him what is your policy with delays and he said we are busy today.. Franchise owner needs to implement customer service to his employees. I will never come back to this...
