Tried their "intro class" and was beyond confused. It was so obvious that it was everyone's first time cuz we all looked so confused throughout the whole class. I was expecting some explanation at the beginning of the class about all the springs attached to the machine but the class just begun and the instructor was just busy doing her own stuff.
If it's your very time trying solidcore like myself, I think there's a reason why you sign up for "intro class". It would have been nice if the instructor actually showed the moves during class instead of just just being a cheerleader. Since the music is loud and the class is fast-paced, everytime the instructor was like "do this move and now do this and now move"I tried to look at what other people were doing next to me, and they all didn't know what to do either we were just looking at each other lol
After class they keep sending me texts like how was my first class and stuff and of course I replied saying how I feel but no respone til now....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām visiting my folks from NYC so thought Iād check this studio out.
This thing that you arenāt allowed in until 10 minutes before class is absurd. If itās cold outside or you need to use the restroom you have to just wait it out - pretty unprofessional for a big waiting room in the studio.
The instructors seem to also be confused on what the moves are. They demonstrate one thing prior to class but then ask us to do something different, whether itās a type of lunge exercise or arm exercise. Now Iāve done enough classes to recognize where they went wrong but not everyone is able to. The instructors should probably learn what they are expecting us to do.
Lastly, the music leaves a lot to be desired. This is meant to be an intense class - Iām not trying to listen to Fireflies by Owl City to get motivated and pumped up.
Overall, just felt that the instructors need more polish to be on par with those out east and the music selection needs to be a lot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI absolutely love the classes and the instructors hereāthey really know their stuff! However, I have some serious gripes with their cancellation and late fees policy. You have to cancel at least 10 hours before class, and if you donāt, or if youāre even 5 minutes late, or heaven forbid you miss the class altogether, they hit you with a $35 charge. Honestly, it feels like daylight robbery to me!
One time, I made it to the studio just 5 minutes late, and guess what? The door was locked tighter than a drum! Itās frustrating because life happensāyou could hit traffic or encounter an unexpected car accident. I was right there, at the door, ready to sweat it out, but instead, I got slapped with a cancellation fee and not being able to attend class.
Iām seriously considering checking out another megaformer class that has a more reasonable and understanding policy. When you're investing in your fitness, flexibility should go both...
