Marshalls — Local services in San Leandro

Came in with about half hour left to shop and was accosted by security and told to leave. This happened to another customer next to me as well. Security / San Leandro police went through my bag, found nothing, and kicked me out anyway. I wasn’t sure I had the right to refuse but since I wasn’t shoplifting, I let them search. Police told me to put down the merchandise I was about to buy. I told them they just lost a customer. The police replied, saying, “I don’t think they want your business”. Pretty wild. Way to kick paying customers out and not do due diligence to solve the problem and assume all remaining customers are shoplifting threats. Terrible presumptuous police/security with an attitude. Had about 5 squad cars out front, had I complained or not allowed them to go through my bag who knows how that would have panned out. You want to be supportive of police doing a good job but then things like this happen and you lose trust. Will not be...

This Marshall’s is my go to and I am a regular customer. As the cashier is ringing me up, I ask the person I was with if he had changed the shirt cause the other one had a stain, the cashier says “you want me to wrap it in paper so it doesn’t get dirty” as I am taking to the person I am with, referring to a prior purchase I made about a month ago where I bought a vase and asked nicely if she could wrap it for me. I was surprised with her petty comment as she, the cashier has worked there for quite a while. Worst Marshalls ever!! The cleanliness is horrible. I went into the store and I was looking at the products and items and they were all ripped, torn or opened then tapped. Things were all over the place on shelf's and the floor. Clothes were being stepped on. I bought a AirPods case but didn't see until I had left that it was already opened, and just tapped. I also bought a pack of 6 pairs of socks but when I got home I opened it and there was only 11 socks included. This is not a good store to shop at. I do not suggest coming here. I also don't suggest using any face or body products like scrubs, make up, chapstick because they are all open and who knows who...
