Nordstrom Rack — Local services in San Leandro

This discount store looks very nice and well orginized. However, the items in it are still very expensive but cheaper than in overpriced Nordstrom. Nordstrom Rack prices, i think, are the real prices of Nordstrom, one person opinion. Selections of items for men in this store, i think, is very weak. Therefore, on line this store has away more choices and of course discounts. For example, I spent some time in this store looking for men's clothes and sadly to say i couldn't find a single item i like and want to purchase. If the item was very nice and the material was good, the size was too large. If the size was right, the color of the item was not really very attractive. And, if the color was good and the size was right, it was unfortunately away more expensive than the average discounted price in this store. If the item was made in the USA i would understand why it is so expensive and likely to purchase it. However, it was not made in the USA but in other countries around the world. In fact, i could not see even a single item made in the USA. Maybe there is one, but i haven't seen any. For women's clothing the situation might be different. But for men's, this is what it is. It is 2 weeks before Christmas so the line was really long. I was in line for a long time which was expected and fine. After long wait, I was at the cashier and realized that I left my wallet in the car. I asked the cashier whether I could go get my wallet. It was unusually pouring outside and my car was parked quite far. I ran outside and came back with my wallet. The cashier asked me to go back to the line, which was very long and it would take at least 10 minutes to get through. I was in line for long enough. It was my fault that I left my wallet in my car however it would've been nice if the cashier let me just pay for the items without waiting for that long again. I was drenched already and very uncomfortable because I got wet by the heavy rain. The cashier saw my wet face and hair. I wish she just let me pay.

Selection is good; they are also a point for order pick up for both Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack online but the staff is not the most helpful. Nothing like the Nordstrom customer service. Just because it's the Rack... I think they should be keeping a close standard of customer service, like the staff at Banana Republic Factory in the same commercial center does. After all, they are still under Nordstrom brand. But they are not helpful at all, nor do I feel respected when I shop there. To top it off, you can't return or even exchange (get store credit) something unless you have a receipt or you entered your phone number so they can find it in your account. Definitely not Nordstrom level customer service... I get it, it's the Rack, meaning discounted merchandise, but you're carrying the name of a brand known for good service. The third star s only for...
