Boot Barn — Local services in San Marcos

Took my new Corral boots in to see if I could pay to have the shaft stretched. They said yes, AND it was free! I was so grateful that I ended up shopping and buying new boots from them. Fast forward to picking them up and bringing them home. Whatever chemical they used is now causing the boots to come apart in layers. The inside lining is peeling away, I can see interior material in the middle, and the outer leather is peeling away too. I took them back, hoping they'd help me fix them. And that is where the good customer service came to an abrupt end. Boot barn looked at them and basically said I just need to fabric glue the inside that is fraying, or reach out to corral. So not much help from them and no acknowledgement of their fault, or even an apology. I have had Corral boots stretched before and NEVER had this happen....

This boot barn just opened, and since I'm not from around here, this was my first time visiting somewhere else. I can say with certainty that they need better employees. When I walked in, they were talking and standing around. One guy did greet me, but they made no attempt to help. There was only one girl working there, and she did nothing to help. She walked straight past me when I was confused about the price at one point. Undoubtedly bad for a business. To be completely honest, the one star is only for the greeting; the remainder of the experience does not deserve any stars.Like I said I’m not from here so I’d try to find one...

Had the work boots I was looking for that are required for my job.

It was nice to be able to sit down, and actually be able to try on a pair of boots before buying them.

I went by other places, and called around, and none of them had anything in my size, or I was told to go online. I am like if I wanted to buy boots online, I wouldn't show up at the store. Customer service these days is something else.

This location was well organized, and had a large selection of boots to choose from. There was no pressure from the store clerks.

I will return when I need...
