I have multiple items that I've paid off through buddies this location specifically I've never had any problems they have always you know fixed any issues I've had with no problem you know their staff is amazing yesterday I received I refrigerator that I had started my lease on and the delivery guys Cameron and Juan were absolutely amazing it was not an easy job my kitchen has kind of an island in the middle of it and it's set up kind of weird and you know I had told them the whole reason I needed the new refrigerator was causing my son's bottles to go bad and I really needed to get it in and they spent 2 hours out of their day when it should have been a quick delivery but they took the time to make sure the refrigerator got put in got set up and out of all the deliveries I've had from buddies yesterday was by far the best I cannot think them enough for putting in the extra work and not giving up they're absolutely amazing and I just think that you know they should be recognized for what they did because when I say it wasn't an easy job it was not an easy job and they did have to take off some cabinets and some things like that but they you know make sure everything got put back right got put back properly they were courteous they were professional they were respectful they were amazing so thank you guys the refrigerator works fantastic just like anything else I've gotten from Buddy's but again I just wanted to say thank you so much and the new GM there Tammy she's absolutely amazing as well she made sure that we got a brand new from the factory refrigerator it still had all the tape and instruction booklets in it and everything so this store I will continue to use thank you guys so much I can't...

I'm glad that some people seem to have had a great customer service experience as that has not been the case for me at all. I went into the store to inquire about a dining set I saw online. That set was 'outside' their region, so the manager tried to steer me towards purchasing a set they had in stock, which looked absolutely nothing like the one I wanted, was white when I had asked about dark cherry. Then Rey moved on to another table they had in stock which was scratched up and covered in nail polish. Wow. He did look around at stores nearby and found a set that was similar to the original set I wanted, but the bench that came with it would need to be ordered. I agreed, and WOW DO I REGRET IT. I signed this agreement in October, it's now January and I still do not have the bench. EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES, no bench and ZERO communication. Do not expect ANYONE to ever call you back, and when you finally get a rep on the phone, they will just tell you they have to 'check' with someone else and don't have any new information for you. The manager who was helping me with this problem actually transferred out of the San Marcos store and never informed me. I still have no idea when or if I will EVER get this bench. This is the WORST financing experience I have ever had - I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE OR THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!! My experience with Buddy’s in San Marcos was the worst I’ve ever had. During my rental period, I became seriously ill and was hospitalized, which caused me to fall behind on payments. Instead of showing any understanding or flexibility, the store manager (Kaylee or something similar) threatened to call the police over the merchandise.

I had actually pleaded with them multiple times to simply come pick up the items, but they refused. It was only after repeated attempts and finally involving the police myself that they agreed to retrieve the items. My brother was present during the pickup with the police, and we documented everything, including taking photos, to avoid any further issues.

Being treated this way during a medical crisis was incredibly stressful and disheartening. I strongly recommend avoiding Buddy’s in San Marcos — the lack of compassion and professionalism is just not worth...
