This is the nastiest place I have ever paid my hard earned money for. YUCK! A large group of us had an event in the area and reserved this dump, so we did the same. OMG major mistake for us all, the entire place is in need of repairs, old torn sheets, molded old bathtub, tub mat was nasty, poor bathtub caulking looks like it is going to fall through the floor, carpet is extremely nasty it is in desperate need of cleaning, walls needs painting, ceramic tiles falling from walls in the bathroom where you can see the open wood, fridge had old yellow spillage in freezer and the wood cabinet was falling apart that it was in. I didn't touch the remote, we went out to Walmart and bought new pillows and a set of sheets, we did not walk on the carpet (feel like I need a Tetanus shot), we worked from our luggage we didn't lay anything on the beds. The hubbies were exhausted and very tired from sporting tournament, but some of us didn't sleep a damn wink. All the other guest friends of ours had the same nasty experience. She even had a big used wet bath towel left hanging on the bathroom door and the tub was still wet like someone had just left out of it. The consensus of the wives was unanimous we will be scheduling all living arrangements going forward. For this day it was not worth $126.49 and on any day of the week it is not...

The staff was very nice. However the hotel was horrible. Ghants everywhere. Had to kill a roach the second morning. Didn't trust the sheets or towels since I found a Lil bug in one towel. Had to buy sheets and towels from Walmart. We were even scared of insects laying eggs in our clothes unattended during the day. The deadbolt on door didn't work. Housekeeping walked in on me and my spouse. Stains and marks on walls. Wooden dresser was old and tattered. There wasn't even an cloth covering over the ironing board. No tissues in the tissue box dispenser. Ohh and I found hair in the tub when we FIRST checked in. I shouldn't have stayed there but all hotels in the area were sold out!! I was nice when informing the staff of the room at check out and she was nice in her response. However her response to the grants was "oh well I'm not sure I even have ghants in my house as well so maybe it's from the heat" and obviously didn't know why ghants are infesting an area!! I don't have ghantz in my house and I live in 100 degree Houston tx. ...Breakfast was old Danish and nasty warm coffee and I couldn't even stir in my sugar because there was no...

This place should not be your first choice. I have no doubt the money we spent here will NOT be invested back into the hotel. We had four spiders and one roach join us. They were not invited guests. The carpet was greasy feeling. I don't know how that is possible. The bathroom was small and falling apart. It had mildew, a tub that was rusting away and chipped, and you had to sit "side saddle" on the toilet to open the door to get out. In the parking lot there were rusted cans of paint! They were sitting on the curb all day when we checked in and still there the next morning when we left. They were right in reach of children! Hazardous. The door to the room itself was not fitted; it let in a lot of light at night. The closet area had a metal shelving unit that was very rusted. The vanity had granite, but was poorly inserted, and the sink was cracked like someone dropped something heavy in it. The hair dryer had a sticky handle. Unexpected surprise! Please don't stay here if you don't have to. Sorry no more pictues. Took these while trying to pack up...

I was in the process of moving, and needed to stay in three different hotel /motels. I've never been to one with a no pet policy. No one, not Travelocity or clerk asked or informed me, no pets. I didn't see the fine print about no pets so I didn't initial and the clerk didn't say anything about it. It was late, I was exhausted, it was freezing cold outside. The owner/manager/Devil through a fit! I was afraid of him, he was so aggressive, irrational. THE OWNER TOOK $58 FROM MY ACCOUNT FOR MY PETS, WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION! I hadn't initialed the fine print that I understood to know about the pet policy but he did it anyway. There were multiple other problems like I'm disabled but the first clerk tried to put me in an upstairs room. He threw a fit too. Both rooms had things wrong with them like no smoke alarm and wires hanging from the ceiling (see photo), broken lamps broken bulbs inside the lamps; mold on the ceilings and on and on. It was just a horrible experience.

Back in San Marcos for the weekend and booked earlier enough to get a great price on a room in the Super 8. I'm finding a strange phenomenon here in San Marcos. Every hotel I've stayed at in San Marcos has almost no cars in the parking lot when I check in but oddly enough, all the downstairs rooms are full. I guess people in San Marcos must walk to the motels. Anyway, The room is find, no bugs and it's clean. Like most older hotels and motels, not enough plugs ins. I set my laptop up on the table and found a plug in behind the refrigerator. You're welcome..;) There is a Chick Fil- A, In and Out and a Sonic within a 2 minute walk.
